US has no good options in Ukraine

Pathetic enfeebled loser. Weakness dies in the dark.

Although very unfortunate for the Ukrainian people, this is a long way from another Cold War. Sure politicians can overact for votes. Putin and his people won’t be around forever.

The US may be going through a rough patch, but we are far from finished. I think the moral of the story: Ukraine should not have given up its nukes. It should have learned how to use them.

Ok this tweet/post pisses me off. First, post a photo of the president walking away from a press conference—like the guy can’t walk away from something? Oh I get it he is “turning his back” on our ally? On our principles?? Whatever.
And second, what exactly does strength look like here? Praising putin as a “genius?” I’m sure Kevin McCarthy and the other brilliant minds are sitting on the solution…
Traitors. It’s infuriating…

If you’re a small or middle-of-the-pack country, join Nato.

I am not the PP but I’m guessing that this is what “strength” looks like to them.

How do Republicans even show their faces after Trump praised Putin?

Ukraine is abandoning Ukraine; they just want peace.

If they just want peace, what can we do?

Nothing. And that’s OK. We didn’t let these people into NATO for a reason. Time to land the peace and be done.

Ukraine is not abandoning Ukraine. They can do the basic math and realize that Russia would demolish them in open war. It is an insanely lopsided matchup. US/Europe need to step up here, it's their fight.

(Also, friendly reminder that Ukraine had nuclear weapons - which would have allowed it to defend itself from Russia rather than depending on allies - and they gave them up in exchange for a promise that allies would step up and protect their borders).

Show me that treaty obligation…

In truth Ukraine never had launch control so not really.

I won’t be sending my son to fight for k street and big defense. Sorry. Is your boy available?

Perhaps you are in Kamala’s office- a statement is not a treat obligation.

There is a large group of people in this country who think that if you don’t meet aggression with aggression you are weak. They don’t understand anything about out maneuvering them. These are the same guys who can be taken down by a small woman in one move.

Because we think your DA’s like Boudin, Gascon, and that ass in NYC are a far greater threat to our quality of life than Putin’s adventures in the Donbas region.

Next.

Who is the "we" you refer to? You must live on another planet. Imagine being so insane that you think a DA in NYC is a greater threat than a nuclear-armed enemy invading Europe, literally threatening us with nukes, and harassing our navy. Please, for the love of God, diversify your news sources.

Sure.

Putin's "peace-keeping" mission is really a "piece-keeping" mission.
Take a piece of Ukraine and keep it.

Biden has failed. His sanctions will do nothing to prevent Putin from taking Ukraine.
Putin has taken note of Biden's weakness. He put people in his cabinet that were there when he annexed Crimea and they did nothing.
He has seen that Biden doesn't care a whit about our southern border.
He watched as Biden totally botched the withdrawal from Afghanistan. That is when Putin started building his troop presence around Ukraine.
Putin may be evil.... but he is not stupid. He knows when to act. He was thrilled when Biden won the election.
