No kidding! I kept watching to see if they were dubbing his lines or editing like crazy, because that was pretty incredible.

I wonder if the little actor's blindness had an impact on that. I could imagine that a vision impairment might heighten the kid's perception and emotional intelligence in a way that translates into better acting skill, even at that tiny age.

I wonder if they just improvised with him - let him talk and be the wing actors as he discussed his shoes, the park, etc.

I actually know the actor's mom. She said a few things have been improvised but for the most part they run through the lines several times and then do the scene. The crying in the hospital scene was partly him being told to pretend to cry and partly audio they recorded when he was actually crying about something. She said he picks up on lines quickly and he has fun on set.

It's kind of amazing. That kid is so young!

The more I think about the Big Green Egg red herring, the more annoyed I get at the show's creators.

Great storytelling can keep the reader engaged and in suspense with clever ways of showing different perspectives, revealing information, or advancing the plot. But this did none of those things. It was just a cheap manipulation.

Worse yet, it made it hard to enjoy other parts of the episode. I was so tense watching Toby with Jack outside by the grill, it was almost a distraction.

I wonder if one reason Kate has not been shown in the flash forwards is because the writers were holding out the option that Chrissie Metz would lose weight. It was in her original contract, although supposedly removed due to public pushback.

Not true, no contract obligation to lose weight.

It occurred to me, though, that if the speculation that Miguel dies first come true, then Kate must be alive. It would be odd for the writers to make a big deal of Rebecca designating Kate as her medical proxy in the event of Miguel's death, only to have Miguel and Kate both die first.

I speculated earlier it’s two death scenes we are seeing. Starts with a slow motion of Randall walking to the room, gray hair and in the beard. When he talks to Rebecca no gray. So I think Rebecca dies firs, no gray, and then Kate with the gray hair.

I've watched this twice, and I don't see two scenes. Randall has the clear glasses and gray hair in all the deathbed scenes. (In some shots the gray is less evident due to lighting.) And there is a glimpse of Rebecca in each scene.

Interesting. I'm confused by that article, though. I know she lost about 100 pounds several years ago, but that article is written as if she's also lost a lot of weight recently.

Even if not contractually obligated, it does sound like the writers left open the idea of her losing a lot of weight.

No agent in her right mind would let her client sign such an agreement.

Why, after the pipes continued to leak despite turning off the main water, did they not just open the tap into the tub to drain them completely??

LOL, I had a leak last week and didn't know to do that!

Look at the sconces next to the door when his hand goes to open, definitely two different walls. Also, look at the hazy background. Kevin has natural wood paneling; however it looks more like it is painted in the other scene.

When he says to Rebecca “it’s your son Randall”, there is an empty chair to his right, no Nicky. Hair is dark and glasses are not clear. When he hugs Nicky, his hair is gray.

Also in the flash backs he says good bye to Zoe. Their only hold up was kids? So now he’s got kids, so maybe it is Zoe. I want it to be Madison so they both get happily ever after.

In this clip, he's wearing the same glasses and clothes throughout--plaid shirt, gray sweater, brownish jacket.

In this one, there's a different door but it's clearly from an earlier/childhood time.

It's weird how widely reported (or rumored?) that was. I wonder why.

I don’t think it’s accidental his hair being gray in most scenes and not in others. Time will tell. Also as he’s walking to the door you see ornamental items on the wall but when he opens it there are, what looks like, wall Sconces lights on the wall.

Different deaths, same room. Time will tell. We will know May 24.
