Anyone else watching the Mattchelor?

He seems kinda boring. Apparently his mom is a Trumpet and he was a registered republican as of last year, now unregistered. Not sure how I feel about the first black Bachelor being a republican

I think it’s a questionable choice to have the first black bachelor be a Republican who essentially became popular due to being best friends with one of the white contestants. Criticize me all you want for it but there it is.

After that let’s talk about the women- anyone standing out? Do the contestants actually come up with these gimmicky intros or is that facilitated by producers?

I'm wondering why this is questionable to you. You don't know any black republicans who have white friends? You need to expand your circle a bit.

He's completely boring and the women were all mediocre. I can't see this being a good season at all.

At least one of the contestants is 21. I think it is Kit, Cynthia Rowley’s daughter.

Wouldn't you assume that someone who changed party affiliation or dropped it during the last 4 years as an R would be decidedly anti-Trumper?

He isn't, they are giving us fresh blood during covid. I think that was probably needed, someone who isnt already making a bunch of their living from being on the shows

No, I think he knows he is going to get a lot of coverage and be scrutinized due to his role on the show, and he wanted to avoid the backlash.
