La Quinta Resort is actually a really nice spot in Palm Springs, not a part of the motel chain.

No, I think he knows he is going to get a lot of coverage and be scrutinized due to his role on the show, and he wanted to avoid the backlash.

I think it’s a questionable choice to have the first black bachelor be a Republican who essentially became popular due to being best friends with one of the white contestants. Criticize me all you want for it but there it is.

After that let’s talk about the women- anyone standing out? Do the contestants actually come up with these gimmicky intros or is that facilitated by producers?

So black people aren’t allowed to be on the unless you approve of them? Or unless they got it through other black peoples- not through a white friend?

Hahaha, this is a good laugh. Its a waldorf property, but honestly I only know that from working in travel for a while and definitely would have thought 'La Quinta???" if just watching the commercials for the show.

I think Matt is plenty attractive but he seems a little "meh". Not shocking, really, I knew lot of very tall handsome guys who kind of never had to be funny or anything because doors open for teens and young people who are good looking anyway. Plenty nice, don't get me wrong, but not someone you want to watch on TV (neither am I FWIW!)

No, that’s not it. Look at the posted tweet above. That’s more in line with what I think, and a lot of POC commentators agree with me. There is a subreddit called Bachelor_POC and tons of similar comments. You can disagree with me but I am not racist for this standpoint.
