How did you see the tears? I could barely see her face.

+1
There were no tears. Or if there were, no one saw them.

I appreciated that we couldn’t get a good enough view to see emotion like tears.

Me too. But I’m surprised PP thought she saw them.

I wish I could figure out how to post the picture directly into the post. She looks so beautiful.

Yes, chic and beautiful, best she's ever looked. The jewels belong to the queen, stunning.

Kate is elegant. Regal. Her coat was gorgeous, her hair was perfect, and the jewelry was lovely.

+100
She is lovely, as always.

I wonder how the Queen feels on her saddest day everyone yapping about Kate's behind...

Get a grip people.

If you have nothing to say about the woman but on and on how cute she looks, how thin she is and how beautifully she dresses
then you must see there is problem RIGHT THERE!!!!

Without knowing anything about what their relationship is like behind closed doors, he never had to worry for one minute whether she's a good fit for this life. She's a great asset to him and the crown in exactly the way she needs to be.

Completely agree. She’s perfect. I don’t know that she’s made one misstep as his wife.

Yep. She knows her place.

Yes -- she knows her place in history! On the throne as future Queen of Great Britain and the Commonwealth. Yes, we love the Duchess of Cambridge. She was extremely close to Prince Philip and is taking cues from his extraordinary life for her future role as consort.

I hope you are British or at least from the Commonwealth countries. If not, the level of enthusiasm you have for a monarchy that has nothing to do with you - and if you are American, your forefathers bled and died to be free from - is supremely creepy.

Oh, sorry to disappoint. Did I trigger you?

Who wouldn't want to emulate Prince Philip's life of service? He was a beloved leader -- kind, funny and respected for being a good human being. He was a legitimate WWII hero who saved his crew and ship from destruction. He was patron of nearly 1000 charities in his lifetime. His Duke of Edinburgh Awards -- which he spearheaded and promoted -- have seen over 8 million young people worldwide set goals to challenge themselves and accomplish their goals.

Who wouldn't wait to leave such a legacy when they die?

You know Charles' Prince Trust blows the Duke of Edinburgh Awards out of the water right? In terms of accomplishments, number of individuals helped, and direct receivables.

Do you want to emulate him?

okay wait.. are you setting up a living son against dead father now?

Charles has one advantage over Phillip. He is alive.

Agree. She looks absolutely regal. Like a future Queen.

And why wouldn't be? The woman has literally the entire CASTLE full of jewels. She has an access to ANY designer she can dream of,
She has UNLIMITED FOUNDS, she has ARMY of private assistents.

Now if you say this about single mom who has five kids and does it all alone... you got my attention.

Otherwise.. OH LOOK THE CLOUD IS WHITE!!!!!

How come you all could miss the most important thing.. the face mask issue!!!!

Look at this mask.. take reaaaaaaaaaall;y good look.. do you see that this coverage is below average?

I mean really? seriously? Mask is NOT a fashion accessory this is a life saving device.. this mask is an equivalent to G string coverage..
comes to bottoms.

NOW THIS IS HOW YOU WEAR A MASK!!!

You realize that there’s a very good chance that every adult in the family has been vaccinated for quite some time, right?

And that Kate’s looks like she has a more rigid, form fitting mask. Seal is what matters, not size.

They put a cousin between William and Harry.

I thought the Queen sitting by herself was a really sad sight. 73 years of marriage.

I thought differently. I don’t know why they were sitting so far apart - covid precaution?

But regardless, she IS alone. With her husband dead, she is alone, and so she sat there plainly, by herself, in mourning. There was a lot of beauty in it.

That was protocol. Harry and William walked out together with Kate.

It was not her saddest day. When you see your loved one slowly die at the end of a very long life- there is no saddest day and you have mourned quite a bit already. There are many sad days. At least IME, the funeral day is a day to be endured and frequently a relief, but it isn't the saddest day.

I do agree with this after my parent’s long illness. The saddest day, the day I cried the hardest, was the day the doctors told us they couldn’t do any more. That was 3 weeks before she died.

It’s funny you noticed that, I’ve thought the same in prior pictures. It looks like she wears children’s masks. I did a quick Google and we aren’t the only ones to notice. https://pressfrom.info/us/news/entertainment/-558314-duchess-kate-why-is-she-wearing-face-masks-that-are-too-small.html

Every person in that chapel yesterday has been vaccinated. The spacing and masks were all for show, and to not show off that they have all been vaccinated.

If my (non special non Royal) family attended a funeral of the 30 closest relatives and no children, we’d all be vaccinated too.

The white mask has big gaps either side of the nose. There's no nose wire. If I wore my glasses with this, they would fog up.
