Yep youth soccer ranking Va teams 1-5, 8 and 9 or 7 of the top 10 in the state and 11 of the top 20. Too bad a few teams like Stoddert, Prince William, FCV, Mclean and BSC fury did not want to make the long drive. Totally understandable Guess teams like Stoddert and FCV would rather compare ranking vs play head to head. Still have time deadline is Feb 7th.

You know these kids are 11, correct? My youngest is an 08 boy and this thread amazes me. Big picture, folks. This is kiddie soccer still.

True but also out of context.

The shift to full side soccer begins this coming fall for this age group including your son. On top of it, unfortunately ECNL and DA teams form at U13. This may not concern you but this is a pretty stressful tryout season for all involved. U12 rising to U13 is always stressful.

The same thing was discussed with the 07 age group last year and you can look forward to 09's discussing the same things next year and on and on.

I wouldn't categorize kid's soccer as 'stressful'. It's as stressful for your kid as you make it for them. Listening to crazy parents and feeding off the frenzy of others in the Club is not good for the player. Those are the kids that drop the sport sometime in middle school/early hs.

Call it what you want but this thread will always continue under the name of the rising U13 age group of the particular year.

And again, why don't we see the same nuttiness on the boys side?

Because there is no Title 9 soccer money for them.

Really? I guess in your world teams these teams should just beat the crap out of the lower level teams because that is so fun for all the kids involved?

Sorry, try again. But if he were a she, I think we'd be looking for other things to do with our time. Fortunately things are a little calmer on the boys side. For whatever reason.

It's a source of amusement and horror that does not involve Iowa, so yeah, guilty to reading but not guilty to the many other things that you will regret by continuing to post on this thread.

Stoddert IS in the tournament for U12 and Mclean is irrelevant since they are no longer a elite team, they cant even win NCSL division. PWSI is the only elite team thats not participating but they havent been so hot either from what I can see on tournament games.

Stoddert blue is not in the tournament. Typical for Stoddert to bag out against good competition. Mclean is a top 20 team(at least in the “ranking”). It would be nice to see all the teams in the 10 play in a one tournament.

Anyone know why Stoddert blue is not playing?

They said the driving times would be too great for such low level competition.

Because of Metro United.

Apparently they have 3-4 DA players at every age group.
