Pete Hedgseth for Secretary of Defense

Hedgseth is done. Looking at mainstream media, the knives are out. And Hedgseth can only afford to lose three Republican senators. There is a history of the Senate rejecting drunken "womanizers" if that's what you want to call it - John Tower.

Hedgseth will withdraw in the next 48 hours. There is no path forward. And maybe Trump will think twice before caving to his bad impulses. Gaetz and Hedgseth were ridiculous picks for their positions. Gabbard will be next.

So far, Republican senators are doing their jobs and killing bad nominations.

I had no problem with him until he said that. Shows a lack of integrity to lie lack that which validates all of the reports about him. It’s not respectable. He should have been honest and pulled a Kavanaugh.

Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) said yesterday that it was important for "Trump nominees to know what they challenges may be" wrt the Senate confirmation hearings.

"Look, I said through the Kavanaugh hearings," he said. "And, frankly, I think some of these hearings are going to make Kavanaugh look like he got treated respectfully."

Just highlighting this post outlining the allegations in the Mayer article because it appears many of you still haven't read it.

He was fired from TWO jobs running veterans charities because he's a drunk and a womanizer who spends more time ranking the attractiveness of low-level female staffers and covering up sexual assault than actually doing his job. And he mishandled funds at these orgs because he thought the budget was just petty cash for trips to bars and strip clubs.

And he's been nominated to run an organization with nearly 3 million employees and an annual budget of over 800 billion.

One of the most disqualifying things about Pete Hegseth is that he knew all of the above and didn't mention it to anyone when he was asked to becoming Secretary of Defense. Like this is a guy who should be vetting himself and instead he thought, uh, the copious amounts of negative backstory on him was not going to get found out?

In addition to being a drunk and a womanizer who is bad with money and has poor management skills, he's also stupid.

This is a good comparison because DiCaprio's character in that movie was a criminal who poses as an airline pilot and a doctor and fraudulently steals millions of dollars via a check forging scheme and other crimes.

So yes it's actually a lot like Hegseth who is a huge f***up who shouldn't be running your local hardware store and has been revealed as such by his own family, who know him best.
