Can't imagine blaming any president for the plane crashes that have occurred over the years, including this one.

Trump not only blamed Biden and Obama, he also preemptively blamed any blacks, hispanics, gays, or women who might have somehow been involved.

If the people involved were competent, appropriately educated for the job, alert, not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, not asleep, and doing their jobs correctly, then you have nothing to worry about.

You know that's not the point right. He shouldn't have said what he said at all. Period. If he himself weren't incompetent, inappropriately educated for the job, and demented, and sundowning, he wouldn't, as commander in chief, held a press conference where he spouted off like the ignorant fool he is.

He isn't fit for office. He belongs in a locked memory care ward where he can't hurt himself or anyone else.

Nobody is worried. The Black Hawk slammed into the jetliner like a guided missile.

What will the DUI hire do about it?

I just can’t get over the fact that Hegseth didn’t appear at the news conference four hours after the crash. It was already evident that a military craft hit a civilian airliner in the shadow of the Pentagon. When the crash happened in 1982, it was afternoon and many people from the Pentagon actually helped in the rescue.

Do you mean DEI, or are you suggesting someone was DUI?

Obviously referring to the fact tjat Hegseth has well documented problems with drinking. Keep up.

But Hegseth is a "DEI hire" as the right wingers define it - an unqualified, totally lacking in merit hire.

Did anyone else see this? Hegseth requested 137k in updates to the SecDef home (I had not idea the SecDef gets a house, do other cabinet officials get government housing) including a 50k "emergency paint job."

Good for Congress for catching this and demanding a response, and highlighting to utter hypocrisy here of demanding an "emergency paint job" when Trump and Musk are cutting entire agencies and many military families live in sub-standard housing.

Call them on all their BS.

That’s 100% irrelevant to the job of managing the largest bureaucracy in the world. He’s wasting all his time and money posing for TV every day instead of doing the SECDEF’s actual job.

+1 He should be meeting with defense ministers at the Munich Security Conference but that wouldn’t get the rubes hard.

Also Esper regularly trained alongside troops.

Not totally irrelevant at all. He is bonding with the troops and staying in shape. More than I can say for the previous person in this role. And there is plenty of time for meetings since this took place before dawn.

1. The helicopter was flying too high. Might have also been further from shore than Perha have been. Night goggles might have made it more difficult.
2. The controller was doing two jobs--according to report s the supervisor had combined the job 40 minutes prior to the crash. He/she was directing both helicopters and planes usually two people.
3. The airline was asked to use a different runway than originally planned--not clear when the request was made for a change.

Nope it was the unqualified DEI Air Traffic controllers. Now Trump and the Republicans just need to apply pressure to the investigators so the “investigation” shows the same thing.

The following link is from NewsWeek. Educate yourself using reliable sources and then decide:

What do the troops think about the $50,000 emergency paint job and another $87,000 for emergency home repairs he requested? Is he getting his kitchen re-done?

For real, they can’t seem to get enough of watching men grunt and sweat. MAGA, it’s 2025, no one is judging your fetishes.
