Like has she ever watched like even a single episode of Law and Order?

Well her life is ruined, and it will be challenging for her loved ones to forgive her. I hope that’s sufficient deterrence!

I am certain that charges will be forthcoming for her.

Just going to leave this here one last time.

Not really a runaway. She probably has a friend in Nashville and planned to stay for a bit then miraculously return. I guess she thought this would stay a local story.

Probably would’ve achieved better results if she didn’t make the 911 call and simply left town without telling anyone.

This whole giving her time to recover from the "trauma"? before making her speak with them? Come on. She caused trauma for everyone else. Do you think they'd do this with an adult man?

I think it’s more out of respect for her parents then for her. They’re being remarkably kind about this, but I do think it’s time to drag her lying @ss to the station for questioning. Her parents might bring her voluntarily now that she’s been shamed (rightfully) on a broadcast streamed nationwide.

the police absolutely eviscerated her story, BUT, we still don't know officially on the record wtf she was doing Friday and Saturday

Also at this point I assume it’s a question of whether the DA will decide to press charges. They don’t have much to do other than fill in the timeline while missing, and who really cares at this point?

Once she realized this thing had become bigger than she expected she should’ve gone home.

I wonder if they will be a substantial monetary fine, but she seems impecunious so…

Yikes. She made some really bad decisions here. Hopefully she will be able to live this down and have a productive life eventually, but it will be a while.
