Both Arlington and McLean ECNL teams are playing. Not sure why the McLean teams are called EDP though...

I've been on this soapbox for a while -- there's no reason to have two State Cups and countless leagues.

Have promotion/relegation between EDP and NCSL, and morph CCL and VPL into club-v-club showcase events instead of full-fledged leagues.

Quit driving to Virginia Beach when you could play a more balanced game in your own county.

Stop it, just stop it!
You make too much sense.

won't happen, league membership is one of the ways that clubs differentiate themselves from competitors (which, like it or not they are- they are all competing for players who pay fees, if being in an exclusive league helps, they won't give it up)

Arlington playing both red and ECNL teams.

And despite them being listed as "McLean EDP instead of "McLean ECNL", the kids playing for McLean were the ECNL kids - at least for the age groups I have seen.

It's possible McLean entered the same team into both ECNL and EDP...?

Except at U18 and U19/20 where is appears they entered the red team into U18 and the ECNL team into U19/20.

Steady on there old boy. Nobody has even qualified for a single final yet, let alone won all of them. They may indeed do very well, but it's a little early to suggest a sweep is on the cards.

Any idea why Richmond is not participating while most other ECNL teams are? The distance does not seem to have been a problem for Beach or Legacy.
Too bad they are absent as they would have been competitive in most age groups.

Perhaps just not on their radar or they felt standard was too low. Obviously they weren't permitted to participate when they were part of the DA - and of the three ex-DA clubs only Arlington seems to have entered the state cup.
