They claim to develop once they have recruited the players to begin with .

Yes some girls are good but at Jeff cup you only have Strikers in the top bracket who is not even a NOVA team any thoughts on this? its so diluted it makes me sad when I hear parents brag about the DA badge but the team is always losing and not able to develope any players. How can any DA or ECNL team say they develop if all they try to do is recruit?

Main thought: Jeff Cup brackets are partly political and do not have meaning or value. I have seen strong (and weak) teams inappropriately placed.

The top bracket is always pretty tough. After that the brackets do get political with Jeff cup throwing a bone to big clubs like the ones in NoVa. Arlington and Loudoun should be a bracket or two lower and some clubs should be higher. It really does not matter if you are out of the top bracket. It is a business after all. Look at the BSC tournament last year. Got to keep your customers happy or they stop coming.

No Arlington and Loudoun are fine where they are at and no one should be higher than them in Nova

No look at the wags results for both teams and teams they have played who were in higher brackets. Both teams should be lower but what does it matter? Neither team is a top 12 team(first bracket). In the 2nd is Loudoun closer to the 13th or 20th best team in the age group? Is Arlington closer to 21st or 28th? What about VSA? They beat Arlington and won the flight in wags? SYC played VSA in the finals at wags. Also Stoddert beat Arlington in league play and they are in the 7th.

So VSA and SYC should be higher vs Arlington and Loudoun. Loudoun should be in the third bracket and Arlington in the fourth(maybe 5th)with VSA and SYC moved up.

this doesn't matter next year VSA players will be at VDA and Loudoun will be in ECNL. Arlington will be in DA and if SYC players are smart they will make a move to closest DA/ECNL team probably BRYC.

I wouldn't rush to BRYC right now. They have a lot of warning signs that things over there are shaken.

A player developing is very different from a team losing games, just as your team winning doesn't mean your players are individually talented and developing skills requires for the next level.

It’s clear you may not understand the difference, but you’re not alone so don't feel bad.

Recruitment & Development vs Recruitment without Development is easy enough to see in the way players and/or teams play.
