Thanks for the reminder Jeff...I completely forgot about that. |
Because that's what Jesus would do and we all know they're good Catholic boys following the word of god. |
Sorry, but for the most part, kids attend these events under their own will. My son attends a Catholic school in DC and a group of boys always attends the march, however, he has never done so. There is no pressure to do so, and less than a quarter of the students attend. |
That's, of course, the way you perceive it. They would say they are fighting for the rights of unborn babies. During the Civil War, should the Northern, more industrialized non-slave holders have stayed in their lane and not fought for the rights of slaves because they couldn't possibly understand the needs of the Southern slave holders to own slaves? |
Last night on TV I saw a whole stadium doing the tomahawk chop. Are the Kansas City fans racists? |
I don't think an elderly white man would walk into a group of black students and make an effort to defuse a situation. |
YOU and many others would be judging them if they were wearing "I'm with her hats" and in DC for the women's march and had gotten into the face of an old white Vietnam Vet wearing a MIA POW hat. |
You don't get out much, do you? |
| If the left had their way, they would ban MAGA hats nationally. |
| I just used the kid's last name in a post. I figured that since he's actually paid somebody to promote his perspective and very much proactively put his own name out there in the process, it would be fine to use it here. Can you please explain the way the DCUM rule works and why this is not okay? I would agree that we shouldn't use someone's name if they don't want it out there, even if the name was revealed by the media or some third party. But this seems to be an entirely different situation. This family is touting him as some sort of Catholic hero kid. If I were to pay someone to nationally promote my kid's awesomeness as a Catholic young man, I wouldn't have a problem with DCUM people posting his name. |
I get out too much, that is the problem! |

YES. |
Pro-choice here and i too do not see the connection. |
Oh come off it. Those kids aren't fighting for anything except to save their skin. I highly doubt most of them care about Roe v. Wade in any deep thelogical sense. If they did they would pledge to never put any woman or girl in a position where she might contemplate an abortion. If you think any one of them is going to be willing to save himself until marriage so as to lessen the chance of an unwanted pregnancy that might end in abortion, you are deluding yourself. |
Well why don't you ask some American Indians how they feel about an entire stadium of non-Indian sports fans doing a tomahawk chop. Don't you think they should be the ones to determine whether it is offensive? |
