HS Party with Alcohol... Death

Point of fact: "facts" as stated by police to the press do not equal "facts" that as presented to a judge or jury necessarily lead to a finding of guilt. Despite what the DCUM harpies think.

Which Montgomery County Police Department "facts" do you find questionable?

Perhaps his defense lawyer intends to offer different "facts" to the judge and jury. This is indeed how our system works, so go at it. GL.

For all I know they are encouraging it, so that their kids are "cool." I watch the drug sales out on the street. I see the shit many of the kids in this extended crowd post on twitter/instagram, racist vile stuff, all their drinking and drugging activities, how far they get with girls.

I want there to be "some" consequences, or "something" to happen to make people wake up and start acting more responsibly.

This poster is exactly right.

Are you an attorney? Not that you're expected to tell the truth, or anything...

Why are you claiming, "No one here knows the facts as determined by law enforcement" when everyone (who cares) knows that law enforcement in fact had promptly shared the facts with the press?

You are the epitome of the classic shyster, aren't you? Just my observation.

PP, given your personal attacks (see above), what is your personal connection here? If you are a close friend or family member of one of the people who died, or of somebody who died in a similar incident, I am sorry for your loss. Or are you just a concerned citizen with no personal connection?

There has been a lot of not answering this question.

Nothing is "personal" until you state your name, or other identifying details about yourself. Except for the names in the press, it appears to me that posters here are anonymous, no?

You're still not answering the question.

No one is actually saying anything on this thread. I am close to individuals you are referencing here and I find it very strange the way so many people are speculating on this.

You appear to be correct. Who cares? No one.

No one said any facts were questionable (whatever that means). But you understand that the police are not the ones who present a case to judge or jury, right?

You seem to be new to this site, or have you not read the entire 61 pages of this thread? Anonymous posters speculate about every. single. news story they care about. Hence, the wild success of DCUM.

Since you're saying you're close to the referenced individuals on this thread, I take it that means the driver and/or the party host parents. You don't need to say if you think anyone who breaks the law should have any consequences. But perhaps if there were small consequences for small offenses, there wouldn't be these two dead boys today.

Do you seriously think this was the first time breaking the law for any of these people?

You seem to be unaware of how criminal procedures and laws work in the United States.

I know for a fact it is not.

Well, no, actually, I care. And I am probably not the only one, but maybe I am. I am wondering what your motivation is, to pursue LOCK THEM UP LOCK THEM UP LOCK THEM UP through 61 pages and almost 3 months of a thread on DCUM.

What is your motivation for this?

Nothing was said there about "criminal procedures" but you are of course welcome to explain whatever you like. Again.

Are you angry that people want there to be real consequences for these crimes? Not just a slap-on-the-wrist fine? Serious law-breaking does typically have serious consequences for regular people in the United States. Few normal people are as 'privileged' (aka wealthy) and friends with politicians, as others may be.

Justice should prevail, don't you think? Any political maneuvering in this case will make a mockery of the American system of justice. It's happened before, and can certainly happen here.

I hereby speculate, it will. No one here will go to jail for one. single, day. I hope to God, I'm wrong. But we know how money can (somethings?) buy anything, don't we?

Yes, everybody agrees that justice should prevail. (By the way, when did you stop kicking your dog?) Not everybody agrees with you about what justice is, in this case.

Lots of posters have said these killings are sure to continue, until party hosting parents are punished with a little jail time. What else do they care about? Nothing, sadly.
