“Personal attacks”? Holding people accountable for their own words and actions is not a personal attack. You have no idea how much some of us have been helping our community for years. Long before APE. Sit down. |
What attacks are these, specifically? |
On this very thread, we’ve had APE attacks against the SB and parents. See other threads for attacks on teachers and Duran. In fact, I bet the attacks ramp back up now that MT has the nomination. She’ll release the bulldogs again. |
I wish this thread would die now that the caucus is over, but seriously, I think MT is going to be an awesome school board member and will win over the skeptics. I also think MK is great, and the combo of them together will be a great thing for APS. Wait and see. |
You could still vote, just have to be willing to sign the stupid pledge (which, imo, should be deemed unconstitutional) |
Your spouse is honest. Sadly many are not. I wonder how many Rs voted for Miranda in the caucus. |
because based on his lack of experience, name recognition, donations and even a functional campaign, angelo should have gotten zero votes. but he got a quarter of the votes and two huge endorsements, i guess cuz people hate miranda so much. she got 1000 votes. hardly a mandate. |
I'm confused- I have read the Hatch act- the hatch act definitely precluded Symone from running in the democrats 'endorsement' process. Something she absolutely should have understood from the get go. Yes, the hatch act does not preclude someone running for school board- a non-partisan position. But when ACDC insists on having an 'endorsement caucus' and when a majority of arlington votes the acdc sample ballot the combination of the 'endorsement caucus' and the hatch act do indeed preclude federal employees from successfully running for school board. |
Could you point me to the attacks? Copy/paste and page numbers? |
are you kidding? to put the victims through that again? umm, no. |
It's probably the APEs just trying to revictimize these poor people. it's shameful. |
And some of the worst ones were deleted anyways, i assume after they were reported |
' But don't worry, they don't seem to be able to stop themselves, so it will probably happen again. |
I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or not. |
She claimed she got approval from her federal agency to run (although notably that employee that gave her permission immediately got transferred out of the Office of General Counsel once the erroneous legal advice was revealed). Symone blamed another candidate’s wife for tattling on her, without taking any responsibility for her own actions. It was all a bit ridiculous. The “other candidate’s” wife disclosed the entire situation to explain why she wasn’t actually involved, but Symone tried to play the part of the victim anyway. |
