Couldn't agree with this more.

What I am more worried about is what is going on in colleges. DD is a sophomore at a good college and she knows many who are earning more than $1000 per week from these videos. Not just TikTok.

Our neighbor's had a big loud argument with their daughter who is in college about this. They cut her off. She is making more and more adult oriented videos. The family is heart broken.

Their daughter was a straight A student and she helped DD who looked up to her for advice.

I wont let my 11 yo have any social media for other reasons but her friend who has it..it is ridiculous. My oldest got tik tok at 13...I absolutely HATE it...its such a time suck. I look to make sure nothing inappropriate is being posted and looking for random stalkers. YOunger daughter at one point created tik tok but we figured out how to permanently delete and we search phone and computer weekly to make sure (web history etc.)
Get your kid off tik tok if you don't like what you see but be prepared to do the work to keep kid off

This is the correct answer.

Correct. Get your 11 yo off Tik Tok and off social media.

People who think their 11 year olds don’t have accounts is fooling themselves. They all have them.

Ours doesn’t add he is almost 13. I think of a lot of it has to do with the fact that as parents we aren’t on social media either.
