You can solve this problem by realizing that “your level” is not what you think it is. Your level is much lower than when you were 20, and is only going to decline further.

They've got a point, though. Online dating is still creepy and weird and for people who can't interact with real people in real life. It's so gross to put yourself out there as stats and hope someone picks you. I am not sure it's good that the stigma of online dating is gone. People are all Wall-E characters living life through their screens now.

I have a couple of friends who met their LTR partner online years ago. Yes, it can work. And I guess if you've exhausted all other means and methods, then online dating could be just another source. I just find it really weird.

No. How long ago? After MeToo, many decent guys have gotten gunshy about approaching women at work. In the 90s and even early 00s, this wasn’t as much a factor.

Now if you met him three years ago, then I stand corrected. But I think you’re like someone in 1910 advocating someone someone get into buggy whip making. That Avenue of meeting women just isn’t as wide as it once was. Also the job and the job field matters. Some are just more conducive to meeting men/women for romantic purposes than others.

Uh, yes plenty of single 40 year old men with children partner with 40 year old women with children. Happens ALL the time. That’s because no younger childless women want them, but also because people tend to partner with others around their same stage of life. It’s hard enough for men to get those young single beautiful women when they themselves are young and childless, much less when they are a divorcee with kids. At every level, it is harder for men to get women because women are much, much pickier.
