yes because men are superficial, so now women are, too. Women can be choosier now than before. I think that's why there are so many incels. They don't like that women are choosier now.

I agree

Women have real options

Anonymous wrote:Why di men lie about their height on dating sites? It’s not like I am not going to find out when we actually meet. I’m 5’7 and can’t count the times where men showed up at a date clearly shorter than me or the same exact height swearing they are 5’10-6. It’s annoying and a huge waste of time. If you lie about your height, you are showing that you are okay with deception right before we meet, and I will cross you off of my list.

Because if they tell the truth they don't even get a chance to meet.

They are hoping that if they can at least get a date they might show that they have other qualities that make them appealing, but have found they never get a chance if they say they are actually 5'8".

But if a woman doesn’t want to date someone under 5’10, they won’t settle for a guy who’s 5’8.

It’s false advertising and a waste of everyone’s time. No one would shame a man for wanting to date only pretty women (whatever their definition of pretty is) - the height standards shaming of women is just a ploy to get women to settle for less. BS.

Height standards shaming? Can we just drop any words we want in front of "shaming" now?

People want what they want. Women (on average) want tall men, not to mention high earning/high status men. Men (on average) want young, thin women with big, perky, breasts.

If a guy came here and posted "why is it so hard to find thin women with natural, perky, C-cup boobs? What is it with all the women who wear push-up bras or otherwise try to make their boobs look bigger or perkier when they are really just a B cup or have boobs that hang? "

The women here would be all too happy to point out how rare that combination is, and how horrible and shallow he is for trying to screen his potential dates to meet it.

"back in the good old days" as you call it, women didn't have a lot of options, so they didn't have the luxury of being too superficial. They can now since they have more options.

Men, oth, could be superficial because they held all the power and bank accounts. Now that things are more equal, they are not happy that women are being just as superificial.

Hence, incels.

Hello, this is the 1980s calling. Women started graduating from college in much larger numbers back then. They have had options for 40 years.

I personally think having rigid height is stupid, and I say that as a relatively tall woman. If my grandmother who was 5'7" married my 5'1" grandpa back in 1950 and were happy for 50 years together, I figure I can do the same.

Thats your choice and your grandmother’s choice. Plenty of tall women date shorter guys, that’s not a problem. The problem is about men choosing to lie about their height

Same reason fat cows lie about their weight.

5 ft 7 inch guy here (actually 5 ft 7, not 5 ft 4) and I have never once in my life been turned down for a date. Not once. And I've never asked out a woman who was less than an 8 in terms of looks.

The whole 'woemn only want tall men' thing is a farce generally born out a defense mechanism for them being fat or less than an 8.

One can lose weight; one can't gain height

Idk, It sounds like you are saying it’s not ok to be taller than a man. Is being short a bad thing? Just put in your profile that you hate short people and I think it’ll ensure you get contacted only be people who share and accept your bias.

What if as a woman I put down my measurements as 36D, 24, 36, but in reality, I'm like a 32AA, 32, 40? Wiill men be ok with me lying about my measurements as long as I have a pretty face and great personality?

No

No thats not what I am saying at all, clearly people have different preferences. Lots of tall women date short dudes and marry them and live happily ever after. I am not attracted to guys that are shorter than me, has nothing to do with me thinking its wrong, im just not attracted to them, just like guys might not be attracted to me for whatever reasons, and im totally fine with that, we are all free to choose. I clearly state my height on my profile and specifically mention, please don’t contact me if you’re shorter than me, it won’t be fun and men still have the audacity to exaggerate their height by 5inch+
