Because theres a development on every corner, the infrastructure is obsolete and the schools bursted at their seams 10 years ago. But the current mayor is saying " Come on in!!!"

Something has to give.

He's still 1 of 7 votes. By comparison no one is vetting the current and challenging council members.

Sure some claim or others for them, that they are on the pro-development or anti-development coalition, but these sides don't really exist. They certainly aren't held accountable for it.

Oh BS, he was specifically discussing segregated housing in South Africa and housing divisions between black/colored people there, and upper-middle class white people. Context matters, pp.

To add, though I am not Black, I am an Alexandria resident who is a POC. And I voted for Wilson. I don't love him, or the road diet, but with Silberberg it seems like the city will constantly sit still in limbo.

And that's good. Limbo means things are on hold until thwe right decision is made. Wilson has the City on a fire sale.

He wants to put de facto homeless shelters on top of elementary schools.

He wants to reduce Duke street to two lanes and add another bike Lane.

He doesn't want kids in school 5 days a week.

These are facts.

It's not looking good for Silberberg. I voted for Wilson and hoped it would be close so he wouldn't take it as a mandate, but he's 13% ahead right now.

But god, I hope the histrionics in "that group" tones down now. We can all hope for better for our city, but so many people there are filled with straight vitriol and total exaggeration.

Let's all move forward now.

Who? Lt Gov or Delegate? Also it doesn’t matter he didn’t want the first job, was terrible and the second one, and an awful person.
