Something everyone can agree on:
Many people will focus on staging their backyard to look like an outdoor living room like the interview setting. |
+1. His exes came from mega wealthy families, ran in the same circles as Harry and William, and knew exactly what was in store. Kate knew too. MM pretty much went in blind, thinking she'd snagged a handsome, rich prince... |
Yes the racism is strong in these people. this will likely be the longest thread i ever make on dcum haha -op |
Right?? No one comes out looking good here |
None of them are trustworthy. Do they even have proper journalism schools with standards of ethics? |
So they can be human shields for their brother? What kind of a mother would do this? |
I mean people with taste already do. |
Right? Our "American princess" wouldn't be interesting topic, whoever she was. We only care because we secretly hate and/or are jealous of Black women. |
I don't think they did interview to take down the monarchy, but I do think the interview was held with specific thought to market their new brand to Americans and drop some really clear cautions to the BRF that the couple has more information that they will sit on and not "name names" now.... but they can. Careful what you say about us, because you won't like what we can say about you. I saw one poster wrote that M & H will stay on path they are on for so long as they can and then if that well dries up, we'll see a mending of royal family relationship. Sounds about right. |
She lost me at "I didn't Google him" when they started dating, and "I don't read the tabloids". Please! If you start out on such a false note, made the rest of what she said dodgy. He seemed desperate to believe the narrative; honestly, at this point what option does he have? |
Er, no. Not what I meant. Sorry. |
I think this really gets at the crux of the issue: the BRF as an institution is full of absurd contradictions and Catch-22's. Taylor Swift pays for her own security because she's worked, made a ton of money, and is famous BECAUSE of her work. Harry/Meghan were not allowed to work or have a career unless they formally left the institution. Meanwhile, they and their son have very real security needs. Which were further amplified when the UK media started playing up the racist tropes in their headlines. Another catch-22: why is a great-grandkid cut out of security when they are a child....but then gets the security once Charles becomes king? That's absurd. That child needs protection. Period. What an insane and illogical set of circumstances. Finally, look at how miserable Philip/Anne/etc are in their lives. They have to go to their mother for money because they are not allowed to work. That's exactly what Harry/Meghan are trying to avoid - a life where they have to constantly ask William for money and live on the taxpayer dole until they die. The entire institution is preposterously outdated. If folks don't want them to be beholden to the largess of the taxpayer, they need to be able to establish a career. Harry is coming upon age 40 and has only another 10-20 to have a legitimate career. He's actually running out of time, hence why they forced the issue and moved. Toxic, racist media environment constantly attacking your wife and child. No ability to work or make money. No future prospects or ability to pursue ambitions. And, finally, no one seriously considering mental health concerns. Would you stick around? |
Yes abd he was drunk in his 20’s. What’s William and Charles’ excuse? |
