Switched DS to Private School- Now He Refuses to Play Soccer.

OP again- coach pulled him aside today and said the team needed him to go to states this year. That's all it took. He's playing!

Good luck to all of your fat play station kids! I promise my kid will be nice to them when he's ordering a Big Mac!

Idiot. Actual competitive soccer doesn't work this way.

Yea right. He may be a pro soccer player one day but at the rates they pay here he will also have a second job as the fry guy.

Wow, you are one hateful person.

And SURE, the team NEEDS him.

I’m so annoyed I wasted time on a helpful suggestion given your hateful attitude, OP (there is nothing lower than insulting kids, in my
opinion). Karma hurts and so must knowing that your kid doesn’t vaue your advice. I now can see why.

This. My son quit his sport of 5+ years right before high school. The competition was too much and the price was getting out of hand. He doesn’t play sports in HS. He joined two clubs he likes and just got a PT job. Don’t force it. You’ve already forced the school. Stop there.

What State? The private team that I know won has not had practices since the Fall.

The private schools are not having a regular season--not State Championships this year.

There are 13 games in the month of March and that's it.

This is a major troll fail---or the son switched from private to public and OP changed the information.

The OP is a dim troll who clearly knows nothing about competitive sports. OP is insulting kids who eat fast food and play video games because OP IS one (no shame from me on that, I love a good video game myself although I hate fast food). But OP carries a lot of self-hate, and so is using himself as an insult.

Carry on.

OP- glad to see you showing yourself for the douche you are. I'm sure that's where your kid gets it.

OP again. You don't understand why I think my son would benefit from a positive connection with his new school?

Does the positive connection have to be soccer?

OP again- it's the most logical one. And he's already being recruited by colleges and universities so it would be beneficial to stay in that realm.

I will add- lots of you must have abject failures for kids. Insisting your child stay disciplined in something he excels at is a positive, not a negative. But, something tells me your kids are fat and sitting on a play station in the basement.

Oh, OP, we see you now. And your son sees you, too. GL.
