Erika Jane and Tom Girardi of RHOBH file for divorce

I never liked her from the beginning I thought she was pure white trash you obviously married someone who she thought could elevate her to whatever level she wanted to get to. It may have worked temporarily but for the most part this was all smoke and mirrors. I never got a good feeling from him certainly never got the feeling that he genuinely loved her. She always struck me as a wounded bird trying to put on a tough and brave front. What has happened is disgusting as both of them were aware and the fact that she continues to go on her social media and post these ridiculously provocative glamour shots is a double slap to anyone who was one of the victims. Reality TV sucks

Temporarily? They've been married for 21 years. That's not temporary. Marriages end, they still had two decades of a "successful marriage".

very much depends on how you define the words "successful marriage". my sister and husband were married 29 years abominable years, long time? yes! Successful? Absolutely not.

Erika and Tom's was a sham a smoke and mirrors and act that eventually felt apart.

So over this woman never could understand her popularity and her vulgar desperate attempts to be famous she is the epitome of white trash

I like Erika but I wonder if anyone noticed what I did- there were a few episodes where she was guiding him a little bit and speaking like a caregiver. It wasn't how she spoke to him when they started on the show. I specifically remember the episode where three of them were basically wearing the same style pink blazer dress at Tom's house. He came, sat with them and greeted them. They spoke carefully to him and then it was like "Tom I know you have to go now" and he kind of followed that cue and left.

I think she had an inkling he was declining. She had no hand in his business and I believe her mistake was in trusting that his coworkers/partners were managing it all. I believe when she accepted money from him, she though he had it- like he always did. You can ride on a name at a law firm for many years, with everyone benefiting from the name association and I think that's what happened here. I don't believe he was the only taker I believe the coworkers and others at the firm knew but did not sound the alarm.

To those calling her 'white trash' - who actually speaks like that? I don't see her turning into a crappy human being (not caring about who he hurt) even if she were to return to her poor roots. I didn't grow up poor but I certainly don't judge those who did and got out of it.

I'm interested in seeing how she processes all this on the show- especially as she has never easily shared her personal self in-depth. I really hope they delve into that or I will be annoyed as this is a chance for her to clear her name- or look like part of the problem.

+1
I absolutely noticed the gentle way she “handled” Tom in the last season. Their relationship always reminded me of an adult daughter and her dottering father.

She’s bad news all the way around and there’s no question in my mind that she was fully 100% aware of her husband’s underhanded business dealings. Talk about smoke and mirrors they are living proof of that and there’s no question the law will not be going to either one of them

What still baffles me is how did she think that a lawyer could make THAT much money. It's like she thought she was married to a tech titan.

He did make THAT much money. Class action lawsuits.

This. He was the lawyer in Erin Brockovitch - and kept on doing that onward.

Agree

I disagree. If she knew would she have flaunted it on National tv? I think he kept her in the dark on finances.

She got what she had coming. She is compliant and i am sure the law will eventually settle the score with both of them.

Are you unfamiliar with Teresa Guidice? These narcissists don’t care, they think they are untouchable.
