Am I the only one that hates white kitchens?

I'm not a fan of white kitchens. They are boring and often look like kitchens seen in quick flips. But that's just my opinion.

We went with white cabinets and gray counters, but added serious color with appliances and tiles. One whole wall of our kitchen is tiled in turquoise, white and gray tiles from this place, also in one of their cool shapes.

White kitchens are so “for the masses.” Like the Coach bag of kitchens. People who get them think they are being luxe, but I just laugh at their insecurities.

I think they are more like the Longchamp of kitchens.

I like some, I don't like others. All about the quality, finishes, natural light, and rest of the home.

I recognize people are mostly just getting off being catty, but sure most adults posting know any sweeping statements on this front are a bit silly.

We have light very light almost pink cabinets and terracotta tile. Very Tuscan look. The backsplash is terracotta tile too to match the floor and we are selling. Out of the 4 realtors we interviewed, 2 said to paint white, one said to leave it and one said redo backsplash in teal Orr light blue. What would you do???

You are very strange.

It’s just a color.

I am not a fan. We have white countertops, and I absolutely hate them. I could not imagine the whole thing being white.

What color are your countertops?

For resale, I think tea or light blue with the terra cotta and nearly pink cabinets would be too much for a kitchen. Most people want neutral so the don't get tired of it. As to what you should do, 3 of the 4 have said to change it in some way. Only one said do nothing. The terra cotta backsplash might be making it look outdated. I would go to a tile store and get someone to help you pick out something that will make your cabinets and countertops look more neutral.

That is beautiful. I would change the lights, but other than that, it is very warm and welcoming.

My kitchen looks somewhat like that. Would be more trendy in white but it’s a very relaxing space. It doesn’t have that chilly OR feeling. Like a hospital.

This beautiful! Warm and inviting, not stark and drab.

My kitchen looks like this. Oh well I hope someone likes it when we sell!

Exactly go to a “nice” rental and find a white kitchen with some chick carrying a coach bag. She thinks she’s made it, but she hasn’t.
