Madlax Monument Team

I am fairly sure that callbacks do not need to pay for two tryouts. That would be greedy even by MadLax standards. If you registered and paid in January, you are fine for Sunday. As the players are being evaluated the coaches may not distinguish between callbacks and new arrivals in real time. But when they sit down to finalize the roster, they will have notes from both sessions on who everybody is.

Players holding offers are not required to make it, but MadLax normally likes its incumbent players to be at tryouts so they can measure the new players against the regulars.

February 28 is now just a back-up in case somebody can't make this Sunday, and there is no guarantee any spots will still be open.

I am not surprised they moved up the second tryout, considering that the first tournament is March 20. They probably wanted more time to schedule practices and wanted their schedule to track Black Ops more closely since they are competing for some of the same players.

There are no elite players from VLC/NL/BLC trying out for Madlax. Only the ones who didn’t make Black Ops are trying out for Madlax.

Agreed. Only those that didn't make the first round of BlackOps will be there.

Are the two teams going to be comparable or will Black Ops be way better? In other words how can one team program compete with three combining.

Black ops will be way better. Simple answer

How did the 2nd round go this weekend for both age groups? Number of players, helmets and general impression?

It was terrible.

The 13U team had 25 players show up yesterday, including three goalies, plus a fourth goalie who they sent to take reps with the 14U team. Relatively few non MadLax helmets. Some of the kids did not look like World Series level. But, a lot of regulars who I believe have already made the team were not there.

Did they tell the boys when they’d find out?

My son said they were told "soon." That was all I could drag out of him.

I hope your son is already an age eligible 26 or an older 27. Otherwise,, he stands to be disappointed unless he was the backup goalie or the 1 kid who tried out for Black Ops and us who was pretty good.

Will there be any point in holding the Feb tryout? What positions do they still need?

LMAO I don't think Madlax Dads will be as cocky about their roster in March. Qualifiers are gonna be ugly for this team.

I was the pp and I wasn't being cocky. I agree and the team won't be that good. There just weren't any numbers at the tryouts.

Does anyone know how many players are on the team currently and are they planning to add more?
