Trash tournament |
What an ignorant statement. |
|
Check tourney machine. I haven’t heard of most
Of these teams. |
| Plenty of top local, regional and national clubs were represented. You must be new to lacrosse. I was actually surprised at the depth of teams given the fear mongering and time of year. |
|
Good one. True teams?
What a great scam ML has going on. Please list the the Hoco/Baltimore co teams that attend. And long island. We are waiting.... |
| Madlax, True National, Team 91 National and more. It's a new year's tournament with travel restrictions. Don't get your panties in a twist. |
|
And more. Please list?
I get the covid restrictions. The rest of us are just saying don’t pretend this is an elite event and that l is now a national champ because it cosponsored a tourney. |
| To answer your question they didn’t have any New York teams to my knowledge. Are there many national teams out of New York? I don’t know of any. They did have teams from Texas, Florida, California, Georgia, etc. It was nice to see these teams play. Some were really good. |
"The rest of you." Please list. |
| Northeast Regional Select team was kids from LI with all-stars from several NY clubs. Lots of elite players in Orlando. Parking lots filled with NY, MD, NJ, CT and MA plates. If you want to stay home and avoid good competition in 80 degree weather that is your choice. Lots of great players from all over the country nowadays. |
| I was there. Our family had a blast and the competition was very good. All the teams who attended are listed on various web sites. |
| Anyone else confused by Madlax’s recent email? Do call backs come back this weekend or wait until February? |
| If you can't make it this weekend then you go in February. |
|
I read it to mean everybody who already is, or who wants to be on the team - players with offers; callbacks; and new candidates -- should come this Sunday. Players holding offers are not required to make it, but MadLax normally likes its incumbent players to be at tryouts so they can measure the new players against the regulars.
February 28 is now just a back-up in case somebody can't make this Sunday, and there is no guarantee any spots will still be open. I am not surprised they moved up the second tryout, considering that the first tournament is March 20. They probably wanted more time to schedule practices and wanted their schedule to track Black Ops more closely since they are competing for some of the same players. |
Great feedback. Would you suggest callbacks should register and pay again or just show up? Any idea how they’ll distinguished callbacks and new tryouts? |
