Why do Republicans fetishize AOC?

Anonymous
I lean conservative but dislike the vitriol toward her. She was elected by a city that trends young and liberal. She’s not the ONLY congressperson in the House

3. Who speaks her mind

They are absolutelyup in arms because in their world, they are supposed to be able to shut her up with a single look. It's driving them crazy that she's sitting in the House of Representatives rather than waiting tables at Chili's.

1. Despite the Democratic Party talking point that the Republican party is anti-woman (it is anti-communist women), there are many Republican women and many of them will vote for Trump again.
2. Despite the Democratic Party talking point that the Republican party is the party of only white people, there are many Latin heritage Republicans and some in gov. such as Ted Cruz.
3. Republicans are not afraid of someone speaking their mind. Republicans abhor someone speaking from a mind that is ignorant, foolish, and not dependent upon facts, logic, and common sense.
AOC looks like Tweedle-Dee compared to Trump.

AOC is one of those festering boils that if not lanced soon enough could cause a major infection of bad, pestilent ideas such as The Green New Deal. She's bad for the country. Her ideas belong in Castro's Cuba or socialist Venezuela, not the USA.

You guys said all this crap about an Ivy League corporate law professor who wanted to enforce Adam Smith-style free market capitalism for corporations (Elizabeth Warren).

Pardon me if we think you’re the boy who cried wolf one too many times.

The actual truth is that they inflate AOC's presence in the news because it helps them convince voters that the Dems are radical, when they are as a whole pragmatic old people who compromise on a variety of issues.

This is accurate and well-expressed.

You can say what you want about her, bit she absolutely scorched Ted Yoho in response to him calling her a f*****g b****h.

I'm a center-lib who respects her but has paid little attention one way or the other until today. Her classy, thoughtful response to Rep Yoho's abusive, assaultive behavior and subsequent purported "apology" is something everyone should view.
I hope Yoho is called out more broadly for being a misogynistic abuser. His Texas colleague Roger Williams is no better.

Her speech in response to being called a f****** b**** by a colleague was amazing. This is why she is feared. Because there are moments like this where she can articulate the issues from her perspective so very well.

Oooof that is a brutal roasting she gave on the House floor. Was Yoho in attendance?

That speech was a masterclass in exposing hypocrisy.

Women call each other wise then they on the regular - her crocodile tears are meaningless.

Women bully each other more - 80% of the time. Women just can’t help being caddy to each other:

Republicans aren’t scared of her, let her tweet and talk more, she’s a lunatic
