That video makes her look like an absolutely horrible human being. But I think the Twitter mobs need to be careful, given that none of us witnessed the full interaction.
By way of example, let me share my teenage son's experience yesterday - he was verbally harassed leaving a park in our neighborhood by some older white men. My husband, who is not white, witnessed this, it seemed totally unprovoked, and he confronted the men. It ended without violence or police, but even the confrontation was shocker since my husband and son are both about the most conflict-averse people I've ever met. We later learned from my son's friend that other kids they knew had been in an argument with the older men over some recreational equipment at the park. My son spent a few minutes sitting with his friends and they were laughing about the argument. They were sarcastic and probably even mocking. Should the white men have harassed my son when he was leaving the park? No, of course not - he hadn't even had any contact with them. But he wasn't entirely blameless either. Everyone is a little nuts these days. I think that Central Park woman was wrong and what she did was dangerous. But without seeing what preceded the snippet, I'm hesitant to call for her firing and imprisonment (as many, many people on Twitter already have done.) |
She is not normal. She does not react like a normal person. She is more likely to go and shoot someone than be depressed. No sympathy. She could have got this man killed. Deliberately. She is not a human being as far as I am concerned. |
She pretended to be assaulted. She basically called a firing squad on this man. Also...I think that you should quit with your fake story. Your DH and son are not non-White. |
She is normal. She is a regular human. Dismissing her behavior changes nothing.
People need to change the way they speak and react to each other. |
She probably thought that he was going to poison the dog or grab and run off with the dog when he pulled out the dog treat? I wouldn’t let my dog take a treat from a stranger either. His statement “i am going to do what I want, and you are not going to like it” sounds threatening. Why is he carrying around dog treats? Sounds like he is a crusader for leash laws at the park as this was not his first altercation. Not excusing the woman, she is clearly bonkers, but the dude is a provocateur. Unclear why she surrendered the dog. She is probably having a mental breakdown. |
Did the white man call the police with the intent being to get your son and husband shot. If this woman had just let loose a stream of obscenities she would not have gone viral. Nothing justifies her actions. |
So if it had been black Kevin letting his dog run off a leash in Central Park and white K***n badgering him to leash the dog and recording him (while making various threats that perhaps weren’t captured on the video), how would that have been received? |
The man is a jerk but she didn’t call the police and say a jerk of a man is trying to poison or dognap my pooch. She chose her words carefully and in doing so her intent was clear. She wanted this man in jail or dead. |
I am not the PP with the son story. How do you know what her intent was. Intent infers planning and plotting, she is clearly just crazy and acting in an impulse. |
^If this is true, he was baiting her but she should have stayed classy and walked away. |
After he told her to back up she said I am going to call the police and say an African American man is attacking me. The she backed way up and did just that. She changed up her tone while on the phone, to make it more believable. She absolutely planned her actions. One needn’t be a mind reader to iunderstand her intent. She told the man she was going to make a false report to the police and then she did it. |
She is well educated.
She's stressed about COVID-19? Who isn't? She knew what to say to the police. She is 41 years old. She is accountable for her actions. |
|
Making a false police report should at a minimum result in a big fine. Period. She knew what she was doing. There is no denying that she called 911 and made a false report that someone was trying to assail her. That is extremely dangerous. Law enforcement need to hold people accountable. |
Maybe she is not married or broke up with her BF or does not have a SO and is stressed? Maybe she is sad because she does not have kids and she did not freeze her eggs? Maybe she is sad because her kids are not bright and her SO is a jerk? Maybe she is unhappy at work because there is a toxic work environment at Franklin Tempelton? Maybe she is not as successful as her other classmates from Booth? Maybe she realized that she will always be alone? Maybe her parents abused her as a kid? Maybe she is an addict with erratic behavior? Maybe she is a racist and also entitled? Why say she is stressed about COVID-19? There could be so many things wrong with her. |
