I mean, she is vile, don’t get me wrong, the gentleman was so measured, but clearly she was unhinged.

He was setting her up for this to happen and wanted his 5 minutes of fame which he got. There was no reason to record her. There was no reason to provoke her. She may have been raped or attacked in the past which caused her to panic. Both were wrong.

Really - that is your takeaway?

Recording someone isn't provocation or threatening.

And he didn't post the recording - so what 5 minutes of fame?

Just admit she was wrong and tried to get a bird watcher shot by the police for asking her to politely LEASH HER DOG.

Yes, it is provoking and setting someone up by recording them. You don't record people without permission.

You don't need permission to record anyone, including police, on public grounds. Shut up.

You can legally record someone. It’s not polite, though. It is antagonistic.

Folks, please do not post the name or other identifying information about this woman. I know it's all available elsewhere and anyone who is interested can find it there. But I am not a fan of Twitter lynch mobs and don't want DCUM to be a part of it.

Dear Non-White Legal Immigrant female,

Yes, these kinds of things happen to Black people in America regularly. Truth is, few White people believed the extent of our plight until phones w/ video capability came along (~2003). And even then, some try to contort that reality into something palatable for themselves (like some of the posters on this thread and on the "Jogger chased and shot" thread). Not surprisingly, when I travel to countries like yours I don't feel like public enemy #1. Looking forward to retiring anywhere but here.

I've come to understand that it can be tough being Black in a lot of places. But being Black in America has always been a special kind of perdition.

I've traveled to three continents and spent roughly 7 years living in 4 separate countries. I'm going to put it this way - the U.S. does have a overt racism and classism problem.

But Europe has a plain 'You look like you're from sub-Saharan Africa and I'm going to treat you like a dirty migrant' problem. It changes when they find out you're American but I shouldn't have to pull out a passport to be treated as an equal.

Asia has a 'OMG let me touch the black person, ohhh you're so dark/ugly' problem. You ever go to Japan and try to date someone you'll quickly find out they don't do that there, although to be fair Japanese families look down on their children dating anyone (white, Thai, Hispanic it doesn't matter) outside of the culture. Look up Hafu videos if you're bored.

South America was actually awesome. Just avoid those weird German/Nazi enclaves (I'm not kidding - founded by Germans fleeing random 19th Century wars/World War/World War II) that pop up in every country. You'll know them when you see them, it looks like Sweden in the middle of the jungle.

Okay Manhattan companies don't play around. They have people monitoring their social media 24/7. Its nearly midnight on a national holiday and this insurance company reacted with urgency.

I hope someone who cares about her is doing welfare checks, because at this point she has lost her dog and her job and the internet is coming after her. It’s all her own fault, of course, but guessing it’s a very dark night for her.

Seems like her dog had multiple accidents.

Interesting. They both have the same last name.

Fortunately the man left before the police came because he'd probably be dead right now. That tends to be how these situations go down.

Jeff does not want info about her posted on DCUM. Here is a link if you want to know about the whole case and how it is unfolding. I know not everyone lives in Twitterworld.

UMM no. Her dog walker confirmed he walked the same dog for her TWO YEARS AGO.

Mental breakdown my butt. She deliberated decided to off-leash her dog in Central Park and when called on it - decided to both harass that person and get the police to do the same.

He was recording her and harassing her.

Nonsense.

Clearly he was the one in control in this situation because she lost it. She actually announced to him on camera that she was going to call the police and tell them that an African American man was attacking her. And she then proceeded to call the police and did do while savaging her dog. Is he a prick probably so, but her response was to become overly aggressive towards him and then when that didn’t work she tried to gain control by playing the race card. She tried to set this man up for a modern day lynching. He may be a jerk but she is a dangerous ticking time bomb. This man isn’t the first person she has “gone off on”. She had major issues. Today she messed with the wrong person and got caught.

Interesting perspective, unlike the redundant virtue signaling posters (usually white women).

From the man's FB page:

Central Park this morning: This woman's dog is tearing through the plantings in the Ramble.

ME: Ma'am, dogs in the Ramble have to be on the leash at all times. The sign is right there.
HER: The dog runs are closed. He needs his exercise.
ME: All you have to do is take him to the other side of the drive, outside the Ramble, and you can let him run off leash all you want.
HER: It's too dangerous.
ME: Look, if you're going to do what you want, I'm going to do what I want, but you're not going to like it.
HER: What's that?
ME (to the dog): Come here, puppy!
HER: He won't come to you.
ME: We'll see about that...

I pull out the dog treats I carry for just for such intransigence. I didn't even get a chance to toss any treats to the pooch before Karen scrambled to grab the dog.

HER: DON'T YOU TOUCH MY DOG!!!!!

That's when I started video recording with my iPhone, and when her inner Karen fully emerged and took a dark turn...

<video>

I have a racedrogenous look, not sub Saharan African, but definitely an other and I agree with the European comment. I find service in restaurants, stores etc to be lacking up until the point I pull out my US passport, but still I would take being snubbed in stores any day of the week over being shot dead in the street for jogging in the wrong neighborhood.

Apart from being racist and jeopardizing the life of a man because she could not be inconvenienced and leash her dog, she also seems to be a cruel dog owner. There is something terribly wrong with this woman.

As a minor corollary to this story of racism in USA, maybe the life of this abused dog will also improve. Imagine being this dog subject to this kind of cruelty day in and day out and not being able to tell anyone that their owner were sadistic NPD psychopaths. Without this video this innocent dog would have continued to be abused.
