See, I sense there was a mis-match to begin with. Jennifer Garner is a sweet, down-to-earth cookie-cutter girl next door. She wants a "normal" life with 2.5 kids and a dog and sends out the picture perfect christmas cards every year.

He should have stayed with JLo. She clearly knows how to laser-focus on career which to be honest - seems to thing Ben is most angry about.

He never seemed happy playing dad and that is clear as day while he isn't quarantining with his tween children who range from 8 to 14.

Ben is messy and artsy and passionate. Also he is ambitious.

J.Lo is ambitious and passionate but not messy. She also is not a boring cookie-cutter mom. She is artsy and has an edge. She also grew up poor and could relate to his hustle.

I love Jen Garner but she needed someone steady and boring. Not someone deep and brooding with a tendency for depression and alcohol.

I don't think he ever loved J Lo or Garner. J Lo was just a trophy, he got bored with her quickly. Garner was just a normal looking wife/mom for him to repair his image.

Jennifer Garner was so visibly in love with Ben Affleck. Do you remember their earliest days? There may also be some truth to what a PP said about him desiring what he didn't see growing up. You can't always be who you want to be, no matter how much you want it.

He knows what he lost. He has acknowledged his problems and has tried to work on his addiction issues for years. It's sad all around.

What happened to his friendship with Matt Damon? Seems like Ben has lost a lot, and isn't coping well. He's still working, but I bet his PR people are going nuts, trying to keep him in line. This relationship reflects so poorly on him!

FWIW, I can understand why Jen wouldn't want to shelter-in-place with her ex-husband. Maybe they both view it as best for the children? Seems reasonable. We don't know the ways he's failed them in the past. Why wouldn't she want to protect them from the tension now?

Ugh I have that vein and I've never had botox, and I'm 28. My sister and mom get it, too - we call it our anxiety vein (also pops up after a few drinks!). It's definitely common/ genetic among some white ladies.

Me too! I have no wrinkles, never had botox, but I have that vein. I have a similar face shape to Jennifer Garner and similar coloring.
