See, I sense there was a mis-match to begin with. Jennifer Garner is a sweet, down-to-earth cookie-cutter girl next door. She wants a "normal" life with 2.5 kids and a dog and sends out the picture perfect christmas cards every year.

Ben is not, and was never that type of guy. He grew up poor and with alcoholic parents and has demons. He, i think, WANTED that cookie cutter perfect family life, but blew that up.

He needs and wants someone with an edge. Someone who understands his dark side and doesn't try to medicate or therapy it away. He is passionate, messy and artsy.

Jen shouldve married a buttoned up Ivy League Law firm partner type when she was young.

She got on the " i will fix him train" and wasted her youth on him.

Now he will go knock up a young hot artsy and edgy girl who will be able to understand him more than Jen ever could.[/quote]

Ben was Hollywood's leading man at the time he married and knocked up Jennifer. Now he's a drunk who can barely keep it together for production.

He should have stayed with JLo. She clearly knows how to laser-focus on career which to be honest - seems to thing Ben is most angry about.

He never seemed happy playing dad and that is clear as day while he isn't quarantining with his tween children who range from 8 to 14.

I don't disagree!

Ben is messy and artsy and passionate. Also he is ambitious.

J.Lo is ambitious and passionate but not messy. She also is not a boring cookie-cutter mom. She is artsy and has an edge. She also grew up poor and could relate to his hustle.

I love Jen Garner but she needed someone steady and boring. Not someone deep and brooding with a tendency for depression and alcohol.
