She seems to be the most maternal, problem free and grounded woman he could have found to have a family with. She appeared to be absolutely besotted with him, was incredibly loyal and accommodating. Because she took care of the home front, he was able to focus on his career while having a bunch of happy, well adjusted children.

She wasnt' a doormat...she kicked him out when he banged the nanny. She did want her kids to have a father that they could respect. Which is why both she and Matt Damon helped with his rehab. He’s an addict that is 16-years older with 3 kids and an ex-wife down the street. Plus, the hard living has made him a bloated, grey mess off and on. I imagine when he falls off the wagon it ain’t pretty.

Yes. He’s almost 50. His brother is addict too.

He is going to “work on himself” which is code for he’s using heavily again. Fallen off the wagon. Maybe even caught with a hooker or stripper again. No woman in their right mind wants to deal with that.
