Thin, white (obviously), deceptively calm voice, hands clasped, passive-aggressive approach, calmly refusing to follow the driver's instructions, baiting him to erupt, ignoring the driver's response and instead repeating her ridiculous question (why is it so hot on here?). Well done.

Apologies in advance for missing this, but what is a "Karen"?

It's a name for a racist stereotype for suburban white women. It's as much of a dogwhistle for racism as the term 'thugs'.

Thank you for the reply!

Sorry, but thug is not racist. I use it to describe someone's behavior - IDK what color they are.

That happened. MCPS didn’t do anything after multiple reports.

Honestly, this is another instance in which parents should file suit against MCPS.

File suit, lol??
Because middle school kids are such angels?
I'm sure they've never used or heard those words themselves before, right?

Oh Karen, stop being such a litigious, helicopter, you're embarrassing your children that way.

That “I live in Bethesda” parent saw an easy target when she saw an African driving the bus. She thought that she could walk all over him. Where he comes from a bus driver is aman who deserves and gets respect in the community. He stood up to her and was right to order her off the bus. To her he was no more than an ignorant black who should bow down to her.

If I’d been the bus driver I’d have pushed her ass onto the sidewalk and left.
