OK.....from my talks IRL and my "talks" on DCUM, it certainly appears that DCUM liberals are much more extreme to the left that the average Democrat. Is that why you guys are arguing between Warren and Bernie, both of whom are dangerously advancing socialist ideas (not totally, but certainly in that direction) as opposed to Biden, who is a moderate Democrat and the only one who could conceivably win the election?
As for me, I am torn between wanting to see Warren or Bernie as the nominee, as I am 99% sure either one would lose (but it would be a disaster for America if one won), or Biden, who has a 50/50 shot (so more likely to win, but not a disaster if he does) if he could just focus long enough to complete a sentence, get his gaffes under control, and stop touching little girls. (It's an actual choice for me. I am in an open primary state, and thus can choose the Dem nominee. I am leading toward Biden.) |
No, but she does have control over her actions -- or rather, she doesn't. She acted like she couldn't control herself for even two minutes to do the mature thing and not rush straight over to him to "discuss" the issue. Looked SO BAD to behave that way. I liked her a few years ago and liked her less and less the more I saw her but couldn't really put my finger on anything. This clip shows me that she does not have the restraint to be president. We already have a president who can't control his actions. We don't need another one. |
Who keeps making the "he/she has no friends" posts? We are not in middle school. |
So you don't care who is nominated? Well the rest of the country does care because we want to nominate someone who can defeat Trump. |
Mature people do not bicker on camera. |
"Bicker"?? What do you think a debate is? She had a point to make and she made it after the debate was over. I honestly do not see anything wrong with what she said or how she said it. Shows she is strong and won't be a pushover. |

She knows that she and Bernie have essentially the same voting pool, so she had to figure it what her wedge would be. Evidently, her campaign tested options, and concluded this would be most effective, so she leaked the story and decided to pursue it.
Will be interesting to see if it works. |
They start with very different bases! Bernie voters are younger, more racially and geographically diverse, poorer, and more likely to think the entire system is broken. Warren voters are older, whiter, wealthier, more likely to be found in monocultural enclaves (e.g. MoCo and similar), and much more likely to view the country’s problems as exclusively the fault of Republicans. The candidates supporters are fighting to get more voters from elsewhere. And Warren has been falling while Bernie’s been surging, hence her Hail Mary play. |

Given the lies that have originated in the Bernie camp, I am convinced that Warren didn’t push the story. It came from within the Bernie camp. |
So, you are saying that Bernie put out a negative story about himself when CNN has said at least 2 of the people that they got the story from were people whom Warren had talked to? |
Yes, that is a ludicrous theory. This is the most likely explanation that I have seen: https://www.mediaite.com/election-2020/new-details-suggest-political-journalists-not-warren-campaign-couldve-leaked-woman-cant-win-claim-about-sanders-to-cnn/
The "two people to whom Warren had talked" were most likely reporters at the off-the-record discussion. |
Who appears to be benefiting from it? Bernie. Who has been smeared disgustingly over it? Warren. I can go with Jeff’s theory, sure, but the link I posted is still more proof that Bernie enjoys playing really, really exceptionally dirty and then playing dumb about it. |
Who could have denied it? Warren. Who has a history of fabrications to advance themselves? Warren. |
If he said it, why would she deny it? And all her “fabrications” per her haters are the same as Hillary Clinton’s “crimes” - invented and purposely spun up. |
And....the NYT falls for it. |
