Definitely not a good move for her.

I could see them having discussed something like who would be most electable, in private. I don't think whatever was discussed should be public record. That is, if Bernie said something honest like "I don't know if America is ready to elect its first woman president" I don't see any good reason to share that on stage at a debate.

Why not? That says something about Bernie's mindset. He has never been supportive of women's issues. Why is it wrong for voter's to know that?

You mean he’s not wasted a lot of time reciting the cliches of rich women who like to think they can define “women’s issues”.

M4A and economic justice as advocated by Bernie would do massively more to improve more women’s lives (on an absolute and relative basis, btw) than all that crap professional feminists like to whine about.

Just a side note.... I heard somewhere recently that Bernie pays women on his campaign more than Warren. Can't remember the source.
Does anyone know if that is true?

He paid his female staffers less than his male staffers in 2016.

Source and methods??

The anti-Bernie trolls are out tonight!

Nope. Anyone who thinks that abortion rights can be bargained away and doesn’t understand that reproductive rights ARE an economic issue doesn’t understand bupkiss.

Who’s propaganda convinced you he’s going to ‘bargain away’ abortion rights?

You seem to be posting from the Women for the Patriarchy HQ.

“Sources and methods”? That’s not the right phrase.

But here’s an article from last year. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/02/us/politics/bernie-sanders-campaign-sexism.html I think there’s a lawsuit - I’ll let you find your own “sources and methods” for that one.

Does your post make sense to you? First, someone - possibly you - wrote about “all that crap professional feminists like to whine about.” (What would this “crap” be? Sexual harassment, like the kind his staffers had to put up with in 2016? Sexual violence? Women getting paid less? - again, like his staffers got paid less in 2016.) But now I, a pro choice feminist who thinks Bernie is a bit of a fair weather friend on reproductive rights, am for the patriarchy? Hmmm.

Michael Moore absolutely destroyed Warren on one of last podcasts. After he lists all of Warren’s history of lies and exaggerations it’s obvious who you should give the benefit of the doubt to. This is a woman who put “Native American” as her race (even though according to her DNA test she’s 1/64 Native at best) on a state bar application:

Uh oh.

He should have realized that eons ago.

Now it's probably too late for Bernie.

Did Elizabeth Warren request it be released? Bernie?

Or, was CNN hoping to try to make Bernie look bad, again? And, if you don't think they were biased against Bernie during the debate, you weren't paying attention.

Why is it even a question? Based on the line of questioning on this issue by CNN, CNN was pretty much a part of Warren's campaign. CNN accused Bernie of saying that a woman can't be president, and after Bernie denied it, directly asked Warren how she felt that Bernie said this, simply assuming that Bernie had said this and essentially calling Bernie a liar. I am pretty sure that Warren planned it ahead of time with CNN that she would be confronting Bernie after the debate, and that CNN should catch the audio and release it. Bernie was obviously caught off guard by the confrontation and urged Warren to discuss it at another time. It's clear Warren wanted to press the issue with CNN's help and CNN was eager to oblige.

Warren is a vile human. She is the worst kind of politician - someone with no ideas of their own and who will do absolutely anything to boost her political standing and undermind her opponents.

I am not going to vote for Bernie under any circumstance but I agree with your assessment. CNN is rigging against Bernie.

Warren thinks she will please the establishment dnc by stabbing Bernie.

She doesn’t understand that the dnc wants Biden and will bring back Clinton before Bernie or warren is allowed to win the nomination.

Did she say she grabbed people by the p..?

If not, I do not care.

BErnie scares me.

The Russians mentioned him and say to help him win. That and his trip to Moscow make me suspicious of him.

World’s dumbest thread.

The clip shared shows too people annoyed with each other. You think politicians do not yell at each other?

No, that happened. Russia helped Bernie, too, and he hired Tad Devine who worked with Paul Manafort (though even as a Bernie hater I haven’t seen any evidence that he coordinated with Russia like the GOP did). He did also honeymoon in Moscow for his second marriage, I believe. These things happened. DP.

Russia is meddling in all manners with our elections. The goal is to undermine the legitimacy of every candidate.
The GOP isn’t working hard to stop it, and Trump is ( possibly unwittingly) colluding with it.
So, I’ll take a democrat that at the very least upholds the constitution and our laws.
