Elizabeth Warren hot mic comments

Did Elizabeth Warren request it be released? Bernie?

Or, was CNN hoping to try to make Bernie look bad, again? And, if you don't think they were biased against Bernie during the debate, you weren't paying attention.

Why is it even a question? Based on the line of questioning on this issue by CNN, CNN was pretty much a part of Warren's campaign. CNN accused Bernie of saying that a woman can't be president, and after Bernie denied it, directly asked Warren how she felt that Bernie said this, simply assuming that Bernie had said this and essentially calling Bernie a liar. I am pretty sure that Warren planned it ahead of time with CNN that she would be confronting Bernie after the debate, and that CNN should catch the audio and release it. Bernie was obviously caught off guard by the confrontation and urged Warren to discuss it at another time. It's clear Warren wanted to press the issue with CNN's help and CNN was eager to oblige.

Warren is a vile human. She is the worst kind of politician - someone with no ideas of their own and who will do absolutely anything to boost her political standing and undermind her opponents.

Considering that CNN was "breaking the story" about Bernie's alleged comments in the 24 hours prior to the debate, you may be on to something.

That's a good question. That was a private conversation after the public debate -- wouldn't Warren AND Sanders have to consent to release it?

Or, was it leaked by who-knows-who...

Did Obama consent to having his remark about "Tell Putin that I'll have more flexibility after the election" released? Stuff on hot mics get revealed.

Not nearly the same. Obama's admission to trading off US foreign policy for personal political gain was caught in a meeting in Seoul. It was a shared mic used by the White House press pool.

In Warren's case, it was a CNN mic in a CNN debate, during which CNN panelists had been biased towards Warren and against Bernie.

CNN is run by Jeff Zucker, good friend of Donald Trump. Although Chump calls it “Clinton News Network,” it’s as clickbait-y and stupid as Fox, and they’ve really enjoyed the money they’ve made.

So frankly, I think it was CNN for the usual fluffing Donald purposes.

Me again. To that end, here is an article about Donald pushing Bernie to be more inflammatory. Remember, any discord among the Democrats basically works to the benefit of the GOP. http://nymag.com/intelligencer/amp/2020/01/trump-bernie-sanders-impeachment-biden-primary-rigged.html?__twitter_impression=true

I think they’re actively trying to give Sanders another heart attack. They are all vile going after an elderly man with a known heart condition.

Warren has no problem belittling people in public and I’ve seen that behavior in her for years. Not saying others don’t do it too but she is particularly uncouth in her behavior and doesn’t take ownership of it like Trump does.

Why in the world would you vote for Warren or Sanders? I mean honestly. They just BS about spending all of this money on programs that may work in small countries with little poverty, but will completely destroy the US.

Why is he running if he can’t take the heat.

If Elizabeth Warren was my strong first choice, this would be a mild ding against her. I'm still making up my mind as to who is my first choice, and this behavior reminds me of Trump (refusing to shake hands, putting something inflammatory out there so he either agrees with her or is "calling her a liar.") Definitely not a good move for her.

I could see them having discussed something like who would be most electable, in private. I don't think whatever was discussed should be public record. That is, if Bernie said something honest like "I don't know if America is ready to elect its first woman president" I don't see any good reason to share that on stage at a debate.

I was already planning on voting for Warren, but this just solidified my support for her. We have no way of knowing who got the story into the press - she shared it with five people at the time it happened. She has no control over the debate or the questions asked, and quite honestly, women are damned if they do, damned if they don’t respond.

Bernie may well not think that’s what he said, or maybe didn’t mean it, but this is entirely correct “I hate to break hearts but how about neither Bernie or Warren are lying. His comment likely had a particular context, and she heard it in a particular way. This is literally how human interaction often works when people end up with misunderstandings.” (https://mobile.twitter.com/rabiasquared/status/1217299500089462784) I am so, so sick of seeing the vilest Sanders supporters - who have shown themselves to have serious problem with women - calling Warren every vile name in the book and then getting pissy that she’s not taking the attacks lying down.

It is the same folks who helped elect Trump.

CNN/Warren/Hilary. It’s all a conspiracy. If Bernie bites it we know who to point the finger at.

You're saying it's not worthy of discussion?

It’s dead. The beef is over. It’s not Tupac and Biggie. There are bigger fish to fry than this goldfish.

Get real: we’ve learned a lot (100% negative, I’m afraid!) about Warren, previously a top contender, from this episode.

Yeah. We learned she scraps when she needs to, and that dull coward Bernie calling her a liar on national tv deserved an answer. I’m in her camp more than ever.

More like she lies when she needs to!

Any proof of that "conspiracy"? Frankly I think it's just CNN doing what CNN does: partisan propaganda to draw eyeballs and make money.
