Elizabeth Warren hot mic comments

Anonymous
I'm surprised there's not a thread on this already. WTH Elizabeth Warren? I admit I don't care for her, but I don't believe she didn't realize the mic was on. It seemed intentional, and under the belt. I wouldn't choose her, now, over Bernie Sanders for that alone. How petty. We want to win the White House. Come on, people.

How is this an issue when we have a president illegally assassinating foreign leaders and taking the fate of our republic head on?

What hot mic moment? The debate one? If so, that was completely innocuous. Unless you’re overly sensitive and can’t handle one candidate talking candidly to another?

This whole kerfuffle was obviously planned. The only questions I have are 1) who’s she working with? and 2) to what end?

Because there’s an enormous amount at stake!

I agree. I think less of her. She sounded like she has little control of herself if she couldn't even wait a few minutes to discuss it behind the scenes. Obviously meant to make Bernie Sanders look bad but I think it backfired. Very un-presidential looking IMO.

I truly think it was a misunderstanding and miscommunication between the two. I appreciated that they are addressing it off camera. We have enough drama. Miscommunications happen. It doesn’t take from a larger concern about lies. I think everyone is hyper sensitive to lying because of the lying that has occurred so much on this administration. But I don’t think either of them are lying, I think they had different take away

Saying a woman can’t win is different from a woman won’t win. I think the miscommunication is somewhere around that. One may have been true for the time and not true now because, progression (eg a black man can’t be vs a black man won’t be president)

pP and I do agree with some of this. I don’t know if she was trying intentionally to make him look bad. If she did I do think it backfired. It was a bad look for her to not shake hands, and also to address it right away. But I also appreciated that she confronted what she “thought” was an attack directly for people who want her to stand up to trump. So she may have felt promoted to do it for that reason, to show she has guts. Either way it was unnecessary and poor timing.

This is exactly the opposite of what she as doing. They were on camera and she had a hot mic. She went straight over to him. He said, "let's discuss it later" which was clearly the thing to do. She had to be told that?

You're saying it's not worthy of discussion?

Pp and I agree. Apologies if I wasn’t clear. She started it Bernie ended it, they both aren’t commenting, and I assume it is now being addressed off camera. I already gave my criticism of the negative action, including not shaking his hand.

It’s dead. The beef is over. It’s not Tupac and Biggie. There are bigger fish to fry than this goldfish.

Get real: we’ve learned a lot (100% negative, I’m afraid!) about Warren, previously a top contender, from this episode.
