Good game. STA will be tough to beat this season

It wasn’t competitive at all. They will not win a game in IAC.

I hesitate to pile on but I felt bad for the team. It must have been demoralizing. SJC’s second team and even bench players ran circles around the saint albans starters and even the starters seemed to lack fundamental skills. I am a fan of the head coach but I did not see him making any adjustments. Maybe both he and his players were overwhelmed. I will be surprised if they win a game this season.

Meanwhile, upperclassmen who were cut added back to the roster.

I wonder if Heeter or the administration read DCUM?!? JK. Either way sounds like there are a lot of issues at STA and none of it is good for their lax program or its players.

Heeter may know a thing or two about coaching lacrosse, but he is a complete newbie when it comes to dealing with the entitled helicopter parents of the private school set. He’ll either have to adjust his BS tolerance or he’ll be running for the hills before you know it.

And kids who were told they made varsity are now playing JV. Sounds pretty disorganized, chaotic, and hurtful to a lot of kids.

Y’all are crazy. You vent about not having a winning team. Building a team always requires difficult roster decisions. You want a feel-good everyone is welcome and gets equal playing time, there are many programs that adopt that approach. But don’t expect a winning team and get out of the IAC. You can’t have it both ways.

The problem is that schools' missions and ideals don't get communicated to the coaches, or they just don't know overall what their values are. St. Albans will never be a lacrosse super power. To you obsesses moms of freshmen who made varsity and now are upset that the upperclassmen made it back on the team, if lacrosse is that important to you, go to Landon, Prep, or Gonzaga. STA is not the place for you. Same to Heeter.

Sounds ok to me. Younger kids were given a chance to make Varsity and then it was determined some of them weren't as big or as skilled as needed after seeing them play some more and in a few scrimmages. Maybe they wouldn't have played at all on Varsity so now they get a chance to hit the field and get some real reps. I appreciate the flexibility and common sense approach.

Any Freshman still on Varsity?

Let's give it a day or 2 and see if the roster actually changes on the web site. I think at least 2 of the freshman will remain on varsity and probably more.

It did change on the website. Upperclassmen added back on and freshmen, while kept on varsity roster, added back to JV. What a mess.

So the freshman not added back to JV stay on Varsity?
