St. Albans lax

The reality is that STA’s varsity team this year is equivalent to the top IAC JV teams. It would be interesting to do a match up, the top JV team might actually beat the STA varsity team. More importantly, someone at STA seem to be aware of this because they are already scheduled to play Calvert Hall JV (not the varsity team, who would annihilate them) and they haven’t played Gonzaga Varsity the last 2 years cuz we would crush them.

^ PP don’t break your arm patting yourself on the back there. I hope you realize that GZ enrollment is 3-4 times the size of STA! That obviously matters.

The reality is that there has been an awakening in the last 40 years - you need not be a laxer to be cool, matriculate to a good college, marry a Visi gal, maintain your Chevy membership, and make gobs of cash on the Street or in real estate development... you can, egads, be a XC bro or even just a mathlete. Lax bro is so 80s.

You have posted this same tedious comment countless times. Get over it, we get it you don’t like helmet sports and have an aversion to anyone else playing them. If you love cross country so much then why are you reading a lax thread on this forum? Lax is very popular and only growing. If you prefer being a mathlete and cross country nerd great, you do you and let others be them.

I find it strange ST ALBANS needs to have their own lacrosse thread.

Lol, haters always want to bring down STA.

So rude to say “cross country nerd” - believe it or not, all kids who run criss country aren’t nerds, and some play lacrosse and run cross country!

Get over yourself - cross country nerd = cross country lover.

This is unintelligible. How many glasses of wine have you had this evening? Get some help!

Are you serious? Who is the one with issues? Angry much? Seriously, get with the times before you call someone unintelligible and an alcoholic who needs help. Wow, an STA booster being schooled on modern verbiage. Here you go from Merriam-Webster:

"Nowadays, being labeled a nerd is something often worn with pride. It's a word that implies that a person possesses a depth of knowledge in a particular area, whether it's in science, books, words, vast multimedia franchises, gaming, etc. Today, a nerd is brainy and a bit geeky, but that's pretty cool."

Hail to the nerds. Now can we get back to talking lax which is what this forum is for?

I prefer this definition of nerd. Nothing good about it.

"a foolish or contemptible person who lacks social skills or is boringly studious."

4PM scrimmage at SJC today. From what I heard, SJC's starters were outplayed by Episcopal's starters in 12-12 tie. Will be good to see where we are at.

If it were tied how could one team be outplayed? Logic much?

Try not to be so quick on the anonymous dickhead response. PP said starters were outplayed. I take from that the final score of a scrimmage was not reflective of how the top lines played against each other.

Scrimmages are rarely a sure sign of things to come during the season. Though I will admit that scrimmaging saint albans is risky. We crush them and its just the inevitable result another day at the office not breaking a sweat. They surprise us even playing us close, and the rabid fans start snarling and displaying their fangs. High school lacrosse in the DC area is almost as crazy as high school lacrosse in the Baltimore area. I feel for the coaches who get second guessed and torched on a regular basis on such anonymous forums. Of course I'm guilty as charged for reading this stuff and I'll likely skip out of work to catch this "meaningless" scrimmage.
