| I liked season 1 a lot. I got 1/3 of a way thru the first deposits of season 2 and stopped. Should I resume? |
I'd say yes. The two episodes before the finale were really excellent. |
Thanks for answering. I returned to it and like it now. |
| Just finished the season. Overall, I liked it. I didn’t get her whole live steaming while being sick because other than sweating, she looked great. I also don’t like how they threw so many current issues in the episode - too many loose plot lines. The weatherman’s plot line was just slapped together and him reuniting with his old girlfriend made no sense. |
I would have really liked to have seen more development of the weatherman (I can’t spell him name), Daniel and Stella. There was too much on Aniston and too much back and forth between Bradley and her brother (and I say that as someone who has a sibling who’s an addict). Overall I really liked it but the series tried too hard to tackle too many subplots and left some important ones just blowing in the breeze while hyper focusing on lame ones (like Aniston’s semi redemption, who cares, her character is very self absorbed and terrible, she does an excellent job playing that role well but we didn’t need an entire episode re her covid fever and some lame streaming special, I want to know if Daniel got his grandfather out of the facility in California, and how does Corey get fired, which was the beginning of the first episode)? |

Another issue:
She says during the livestreaming show that "yesterday" she was diagnosed with Covid. At the time, Jennifer A. had no mask on in the hospital bed. Then it shows the hospital scene when Bradley was looking for her brother and everyone in the ER in beds and all medical personnel were in masks. Why would she have been maskless when she had it and the next day everyone in the hospital (other than the waiting room) had a mask on? At that point, EVERYONE in the waiting room AND the patients would have been masked, inc. Aniston. |

I'm a latecomer to this show so I haven't read all the posts (only just started season 2), but I did want to say I find Reese Witherspoon's southern accent SO FAKE. Which is bizarre since she's originally from Tennessee, so you'd think her accent would be spot-on. It's not and it is beyond jarring.
I love Billy Crudup in this role - so odd and yet captivating. Curious to see where the show goes. |
| My quibble with the show is that Reese is supposed to be some hotshot ingenue and she's like 50. |
To be fair, season 1 was filmed in 2018 when Reese was 42/43. She is celebrity 43 which means she can pass a bit younger - I believe in season 1 she said she was 40. That tracks with when Savannah Guthrie took over as cohost - and the show is LOOSELY based on the book Top of the Morning which follows the Today Show antics. |
DP. This is true - she mentioned her age in the bar discussion with Cory. |

Finally started watching S2 and finished E4 Hope to catch up before S3 starts.
The Laura - Bradley relationship just seems so unreal to me. The “spirit animal” apology…really? And what’s with Daniel singing? It seems they are trying to embrace all social “issues” in one fell swoop. |
| When does S3 start? |
Sept 17 I think |
Sept 13 |

Jus finished the one with Alex’s visit in Italy. I don’t see her time with him to be a metoo moment. They were equals who had a good time in Chile. They were very similar in many ways.
So did Alex out Laura? I hope it’s not Alex and it’s answered in a future episode. |
