I was so sad for Cory at the end when he and Bradley said goodbye. 🥲

Why couldn’t Cory just say I’m sorry to Bradley in this scene? Marks didn’t apologize either to Alex, but that’s not surprising.

I think Cory did apologize to Bradley, didn't he? But at any rate, Bradley could have kept her testimony short and business-like so as to squash any suspicion of wrongdoing on Cory's part.

That seems like such a stretch. I’m a loyal today show viewer… And for the past 10 years have worked from home at least a few days a week so I’m a regular watcher as I’m starting my day, but honestly other than the first 20 minutes, which is a good review of some of the big headlines, it is fluff for retirees and people like me who want some noise in the background while they are getting ready in the morning.

That whole Chip thing felt overdone.

Also… As soon as Jen Aniston typed out Hanover, instead of West Virginia, I knew she was trying to see if he was surveilling her, but would he have been that sloppy? That part felt kind of laughable to me. It is pretty hard to surveil iPhones, especially ones connected to corporate accounts with all of their security requirements… to go through all that, and then blow it with the Hanover remark, felt lazy.

Don’t get me wrong I’m loving the show and will definitely be back for season four but I wish they had played that out a little differently and maybe taken some more time with it.

Agree with your post! The bolded made me laugh though, because I - obviously not that sharp! - audibly gasped when Paul said "Hanover". OMG! He actually IS surveilling Bradley!! I guess I'm just easily impressed.

He had a high tech company that made him rich. He caused to firewall breach that shut down UBA and leaked all the info. Of course he could spy on everyone. And clearly not just text messages since he knew what was said between Bradley and Laura.

Just finished the season and last episode was great, fast paced and full of info.

So did Paul really like Alex or just using her?

Regarding the democracy lecture, the point was without free press you stand to lose it. There used to be regulations that a single company could not own multiple media outlets in the same coverage area. They did away with that in mid-1990’s(?). The old regulation was there to prevent one “person” controlling the media and the public’s opinion, much like Hitler had done in Germany.

Both.

This dynamic actually makes me wish they'd focused more on Marks and that relationship during the season. Because I think with people like that, it's often "both". I don't think they know how to NOT exploit people, even people they care about and are in relationships with. If your whole m.o. is that you are looking to exploit every opportunity for profit, you can't date a well-known and powerful journalist without taking advantage of it. It's not even like "oh he really struggled with it" or "he did it but felt bad." It's just instinctive and leaving an opportunity like that on the table is not in his DNA.

It's like a very specific kind of sociopathy.

Will Cory be back next season?

This show has jumped the shark, and I can barely look at Jennifer Aniston’s face. What on earth did she do to her nose?

I finally finished this and then found some info on season 4 - adding Jeremy Irons, Marion Cotillard, and Chidi from The Good Place! Plus Hamm is staying, when I thought his storyline was over, and Margulies is leaving. Probably airing in the fall but no date set yet.

So much time between seasons - two years? Not sure if I'm going to care by next fall.

Well, it's gotten worse every season and no amount of glamorous stunt casting will change that. I seriously doubt anyone will care by then, if they even do now.
