Gt. Washington in Maryland is another place that is haunted. There was a ladies room in basement that they finally closed because so many women came running out screaming about ghosts.

Oops. Fort not Gt? |
| I was 19 and had just lost my virginity to my girlfriend of a few months. She lived in a 250 year old house and her bedroom was in what was once the attic, the ceilings were really sloped and you could only stand in the middle of the room. After we finished she put some clothes on and went down three levels to get food and drinks; it was around 2am and we had been up in her room for a while. After she left a blue ball of light bounced from each end of the room up it the top point of the ceiling like it was on rails. After watching it I sat up in bed and it rushed right into my face, I shut my eyes and when I opened them it was gone. I had zero experience so I thought this may have been a side effect of sex. We were together constantly after our first time and I never saw the blue ball again, I asked her if she would get the blue light after sex- she burst out laughing and told me that the blue ball was a ghost that would visit her room. Thinking back I bet it was the spirit of someone jealous, she was beautiful. |
Similar here. We were visiting Hoover Dam, built during the Depression, and I saw a man in 30s era business clothing, complete with a slide rule in his pocket and an old fashioned hat, walking along with a big smile amongst the tourists. Like he was proud of the place. I turned to my husband to point him out, but when we looked back, he was gone. |
| Bumping in hopes of reading some creepy stories on this gloomy day. |
| I was hallucinating during my bout with COVID. I have learned not to trust my senses. I have seen, smelled, tasted, heard and felt things during my illness that my rational mind does not accept. While it was happening it was real. |
What happened? |

I live in a historic house from the 1890s. My husband and son were out of town last week, I was up late reading on my kindle. My daughter was asleep next to me. The house was completely locked up, all lights off. Out of nowhere a girls voice called out from the hallway, "Hello?"
I jumped out of my skin and was paralyzed with fear because someone must be in the house. It was loud and clear. Finally I got enough nerve to go shut and lock the bedroom door. I'm not sure what time I fell asleep. But my daughter has previously claimed to hear things from her room. A few months ago we found out a 9 year old girl had died in the house after being hit by a car in front of the house in the 1950s. I'm not sure if it's her or not, but it did sound like a young girl. This was my first experience. |
| My sister has hundreds of ghost stories. She's been telling them since we were kids. Her stories usually involve "visitations" while she's asleep or laying in bed. She sees them, but doesn't communicate with them. She has told me dozens of times that she woke up in the night to see a lady with bright, glowing white hair standing at the foot of her bed, yelling angrily and soundlessly. It's the same lady every time. That one creeps me out the most. I have never seen a ghost. |
There is no way to know this is true |
I told my late husband that he should be having adventures and not hanging around. That said, he was a DJ and I had one of his sets saved on my phone. I was at a party once and they didn't have any music playing, which was a pet peeve of his, and my phone suddenly started playing his set. My friends all said, " Bob wants us to have some music!" and laughed.
