College and University Discussion
| I hope the “they” thing passes. I am not going to engage in this overly sensitive pronoun stupidity. |
| Try the catholic colleges. |
Oh, yup! Wouldn't want anything sexually untoward to affect our pwecious babies...send 'em off to Catholic institutions! |
|
My name is Pat. My specific gender believes that 2+2=5. If I fail a math test, it's because my professor is sexist.
Perhaps one purpose behind the intellectual experience in college is to expose the snowflakes to ideas that challenge their orthodoxies and not crucify those who intellectually disagree. |
I agree |
|
Why do you keep using the term, "intersex?"
That group does NOT make up the majority of people who are transgender or non-binary. Get educated please, before you put down a social phenomenon you obviously don't even understand. |
Any college in any country outside the US. Smarter, better and cheaper
|
Hahahahahaha |
Oberlin has a really generous merit aid policy for kids without need based aid. In reality almost no one pays sticker price. |
I’m sure Shes fine being called Rachel or Ms/Mr/Mx. Donzel |
I went to WAKE FOREST is the 1990s (not a liberal hotbed) and took a sociology class that discussed sexual identity and gender identity was being a spectrum. If Wake was doing this 25 years ago— yeah OP. You’re kind screwed in the keeping your kid away from new ideas depart, ent. Except Liberty or Bob Jones. |
Spectrums of sexuality and gender identity = Dr. Kinsey in the freaking 1950s at (gasp) Indiana University. |
Colleges will start asking about people's preferred race. That's when we will know that the US is kaput and China has takrn over the world. |
And work in a workplace where not using others preferred pronouns is considered harassment. This is the future OP. You can disagree. But your kid will either get on board or be left behind. This is what the Universities that train the kids that set the workplace policies are doing. If your kid is there, at least they can have a their opinion heard and influence policy and learn how to navigate. Or they can be at Liberty and get left behind and not become adults who set policy. But the world isn’t going to stop evolving because your kid went to Liberty. And frankly, you do them a disservice if you prepare them for the world you want and not the world we have. I will never understand why conservatives send their kids to Liberty to avoid the world, rather than to a top college where they will be in a position to influence the conversation— on college campuses and in the workforce later. If enough conservative kids are at Harvard, the conversation in classrooms and student unions will be much more conservative. They will be hired to positions of influence where they are decision makers. Liberals know this. Why don’t you? |
Liberals are going to the best schools they can and creating the reality your kid will have to live and work in. |
