Durham has been working on this for at least 8 months. Wonder if his report will come out at the same time as the IG? |
DOJ just confirmed that Durham is also targeting the CIA and its role in the the origins of the Trump-Russia collusion investigation and that John Brennan's machinations during the 2016 campaign will come into sharper focus per Paul Sperry. |
This is rich, while MSM is having a volcanic hissy fit. Lol! |
There appears to be a little spat and a blame game going on about who was actually pushing the dossier - Comey or Clapper. This should be interesting to watch play out. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/dispute-erupts-over-whether-brennan-comey-pushed-steele-dossier-as-doj-probe-into-misconduct-begins |
Karma! |
What a silly article. Starting with a false premise (the probe started many months ago) and adding nothing |
That's a strange interpretation of events. |
Why does it matter, and why is it that FOX News keeps pushing the narrative that the dossier was somehow "fake" without ever even having proven it? |
Lots of nervous folks. |
You mean the information in the dossier hasn't been proven? Then, how could it be used as part of a FISA warrant application since information in those need to be verified? |
No, quite a bit of the information in the dossier HAS been proven. Some of it remains unproven, but that also means that portion is not disproven. Very little of it has been disproven. So again, how do you arrive at "fake" without actually proving it's fake? |
Exactly. |
I have seen analyses of the Steele dossier that go paragraph by paragraph and note which points in the dossier have been confirmed. Seemed to me around 70% of it or more has been confirmed.
I have never seen any analysis of it that similarly went through, paragraph by paragraph, showing which things in it have been disproven. |
FOX and others in conservative media seem heavily invested in pushing a narrative that it's "fake." You'd think that an honest investigative journalism outlet would have done such a detailed analysis. But they didn't. Shows you the honesty of the conservative media isn't quite there. They are more about pushing propaganda than real news. |
Let's assume your '70% of it is confirmed'. How egregiously wrong does that 30% of it have to be to make this whole issue a disaster? Answer: not very wrong at all. From placing Cohen in Prague to pretending Russia had a consulate in Miami, there's no shortage of easily contradicted stuff in that dossier. I'm afraid looking at errors is where it's at and understanding that means things are not looking good for dossier believers. The origin of this story and these investigations and FISA warrants isn't known and it's increasingly looking like something was very rotten in Denmark. |
