This isn't what OP is talking about and everyone here knows it. My daughter took a music class when she was 2 with a girl we know. The nanny literally sat to the side and didn't engage ONE BIT. She wasn't on her phone, but she literally sat there, looking around, biting her fingernails. This was Ms Amy's Music Makers for any of you who know it. That is a class where the caregiver is a HUGE part of the class for the kid and the kid won't get anything out of it without them. It was so strange. A bunch of other kids were there with nannies and they were all participating. |
Dp. Kids need dowtime too. |
This is why I would never send my nanny to one of those music or library classes. DH and I stagger our schedules so one of us is available every morning to take. It’s just sad to see kids come with their nannies. It’s not the same at all as coming with a parent. |
Kids are boring, nanny doesn't pay great, and no one will find your kids as interesting as you do. These are just facts of life. If your nanny keeps your kid safe, entertained, and genuinely cares for their well being she's doing her job. $15/hour isn't going to get you a super nanny. |
A lot of parents suck too. Nannying can be a tough thankless job that pays garbage. Lay off |
FTMs of babies are so hilarious. Your kid will survive without “full participation” with Ms Amy. Sincerely, Everyone |
