Have seen a lot of this age group. PWSI is very good. I'd argue they'd compete well at the top though they haven't played those teams to my knowledge. FCV is not super strong at 08. GFR-Spirit just won their bracket (one of the low ones, but higher than FCV) at Jeff Cup, beating Beach FC which is historically pretty strong in NPL. Loudoun definitely up top along with Arlington (don't let losses in top tournament brackets fool you). LMVSC is actually decent. Also VSA -- their 08 team played up 07 in many recent tournaments over the past 18 months.

I think the PWSI coach is one of the Directors' at HP Elite if I am not mistaken?

PWSI coach owns HP Elite. His now retired father is “HP.” He is QP.

Their coach is listed as Gabe Portillo. I haven't seen Quan with that group but wouldn't claim to know.

Coach Gabe is HEAVILY involved with HP Elite...

That's a good thing, great coach, love his energy. HP Elite does not recruit, although if they did most other clubs in the area would not have chance in hell. They have the areas best players train with them.

It's quite comical, most are Loudoun and FCV players at HP Elite. FCV does not think highly of they're training however.

FCV hasn't figure out that this is pure technical training? FCV, along with other clubs spend no time on technical training and should be happy their players are augmenting team training.

Is it really true that at this age, good teams are comprised of less bad or below average players rather the concentration of all very good players?
