No, it means that at younger ages, with fewer players on the field one or two players can make a huge difference. If the rest of the players are not far behind then the team can dominate.

But if those other kids don’t continue to develop then by 11v11 the team gets quickly exposed for having a lack of depth and development.

U11 is a spotty age group. A lot of girls are still not very coordinated yet, and a team of all-early growth spurters or stronger athletes will dominate. Seeds are still being planted for the future at this age.

The rest? Bethesda 2008G have problems getting enough girls for a second team. Their blue team won one league game in the fall? Think they did okay in the lower bracket of the Jeff Cup- ie got points for ranking system. So they seem better vs what they are. This is why rankings should be viewed with a lot of skepticism.

McLean Green has two entries in the YSR database now … and the two scores are nearly identical. I've tried to get them merged. I suspect their score(s) will rise by the end of the spring given they've moved up to the top 2007 division (still NCSL).

I'm sure there are omissions beyond Loudoun Red. Are they CCL? (It doesn't help that I can't even see 2008 teams on the CCL website.)

NOt sure why the 09 GFR team is in the list at all. Perhaps they are playing up in NCSL? Even if that is the case their Youth Soccer Rankings points are based on their at age play and they are ranked accordingly. They should probably be removed especially if NCSL scores are not even tracked in GotSoccer.
