Spelling daughter's name wrong: Correct? Passive agressive?

Anonymous
who cares? Seriously. This is a non-issue. There are unfortunately multiple ways to spell your daughter's name. So what if they get it wrong?

My daughter's nickname is Ali. Some folks spell it Allie. Who cares? I don't. We were in soccer one year with a mom who kept calling me by an entirely different name. (Think Karen vs. Kendra, something like that.) Sometimes she got it right but other times, nope. I kind of gave up. She was a nice lady, just a little flaky, maybe?

I vote it’s autocorrect.

I highly doubt it’s passive aggressive. If it truly is similar to Lindsey/ Lindsay, that’s a VERY hard one to get right. We have a friend named Hannah and a friend named Hanna and I’m CONSTANTLY getting it wrong. I made sure to let them both know (in person) about how I always screw it up and we laughed about it.
My name is Natalie, and there’s a couple people I email with that always spelled it Nathalie - even when I sign my emails. I’m assuming it’s autocorrecting in their end.

And this is why I can't work in customer service... I my advancing age I would have a very hard time not asking the mother if she would please take the stick out of her a$$ so I could use it to knock the chip off of her shoulder.
