Doesn't sound like he had much money but he could drain his bank accounts of whatever money he had, get a cash advance on his credit cards and go to Mexico or wherever else. He could have found some poor chump of a woman to take him in even if he stayed in the states. The ride it out.

The credit lines were already maxed out. That's why he filed for bankruptcy in 2015. And sure - moving into some woman's trailer sounds lovely.

In the TV interview the most odd thing he said was that while the wife and kids were still only "missing", he decided to stay somewhere else and not his house. Wouldn't be more natural to invite someone into your house for support etc..?

Wow, I just watched the video on the People link someone posted, and his demeanor is SO CREEPY. He's almost smiling. It's like he's trying to think about how he should feel, or scenarios that should be occurring to him if he were grieving, and saying them, but totally nonchalantly. Just really bizarre. How could he have NO emotions, even if he was the cause of their disappearance and deaths? He talks about the children in detail, without any actual emotion. What in the world. I cannot fathom this.

It seems like if he were really a psychopath, her family members would have known things were off, but there's no commentary from her family to that effect, just that they are shocked and upset. He doesn't seem mentally ill, like in the sense of a mental break, it seems like this is his usual demeanor. Was he able to hide THAT well that he's a psychopath?

Also, he pulled a straight all nighter, why doesn't he look more tired? And why did he hide the bodies in such obvious places? And why did he agree to this 7 minute interview? Even the interviewer sounds suspicious, as the interview goes on, the interviewer seems like he's noticing this is not right. What a creepy situation for the interviewer as well.
