This is terrible. The body of the wife was found.

After going on national television and wondering where they were. Disgusting.

The wife had just come back from a business trip at 2AM and it's unclear if he killed the children before she returned or after she got back and they got in a huge fight. Either way she died between 2AM - 8AM the night she returned.

He kept saying something about leaving for work at 5am. I didn't think about when he would have killed the girls. The police did a welfare check Monday. He would have had a small window to dispose of the bodies. Tgis has to be more premeditated than in the heat of the moment. Damn it. I want to throw up.

PP, you should watch the videos of the husband saying how he just “needs them to come back”. He is a terrible actor because it’s evident in the videos he’s guilty. But WHY?

I saw on the news late last night that a friend of hers said that they were contemplating bankruptcy and she was going to divorce him. We'll see if that turns out to be true.

They already filed for bankruptcy in 2015.

Did the husband report her missing? Or was it a friend of the wife?

WaPo reported that she “worked” for thrive - the MLM scheme. Bet they had huge money issues.

No wonder they were bankrupt.

This is just incredibly sad.

Very sad.

I have no skin in the NLM game, but I hope this thread doesn’t devolve into trashing the mom victim who was probably just trying to help financially.

I was very creeped out by her FB post that seemed to indicate he talked her into baby #3. If he was that stressed by their finances, why add to it?

It was the friend of the wife. That friend went on a Thrive retreat with Shanann the weekend before. Shanann and kids spent 3 weeks in NC with her parents before that she left within 2 days for Thrive in AZ. That friend was on the plane with her back from the trip, dropped jer off at 2am. Husband says they had an emotional discussion and he went to work at 5am. At Noon, that friend was already so alarmed she missed meeting up and a doctors appt that she went to the house. He says he was alarmed when friend alerted him. He comes home to find house empty. Friend reports her missing a little later, asks for welfare check. Police find purse and keys in house. By 9pm, her friends aremobilizing to find her.

My story is that I got out alive, but husband was emotionally and financially abusive. I am still scared for my life. It says she used to work for a hospital when they got married, I think. I wonder if she quit when they started having kids and the MLM thing was a way for her to stay sane and have enough money to leave.

My ex prevented me from going back to work and then when I took a job far away, the drastic abuse became often. I am not alone with him ever. Won't stop him at some point. He is trying to finish me off with the divorce.

I see this story, and know the difference between me and her is a fine line.

Good for you. I got out with the help of my parents and best friend. Life is so good now. Good things are coming your way!

No one is trashing her. Let's not sugar coat NLM. If they'd already declared bankruptcy then working for a pyramid scheme was stupid. People who work for these Ponzi schemes are niave at the very least. Doesn't mean she deserved to die. She's still the victim. Her kids are the victims.
