This. Our neighbors had plenty of space but parked in front of our house because they claimed it had more shade. I had to drag young kids so I parked in front of their house. They were so pissed.

Why? Where did They expect you to park?

Thread is a few years old but if anyone faces this it's probably just better to not get hung over it and ride it out. A month isn't bad in the scheme of things. If you live in rowhouses don't make enemies out of your neighbors.

Didn't think so.

Welcome to city living and get over yourself.

Don't be an ass and put your garbage in front of your neighbor's house.

Or, call the dumpster company and say you're ready for a switchout. Oh, and could you put the new one about 50 feet further up the road. Thanks.

I have the same neighbor who decided to put a huge 10 yd dumpster on his driveway across the street, to fill it with his garbage every day. That's our view when we look out of our window every day. He never asked us if it was alright. We live on a residential street out in the country with several homes on our street. I would think that would be illegal.

Agreed. When we did a renovation last year the dumpster was in front of our house. The company wouldn't put it in front of someone else's.

OP I feel you. I posted here when my neighbor put a storage container in his spot for well over 6 months which was against the HOA rules. THEN they (him/his wife) took 2 of the 3 guest spots in a lot for 6 town houses where most of us drive 2 cars but only get 1 reserved spot. Everyone here also told me to deal with it even though, he was rude and breaking the HOA rules

I cannot for the life of me see how this bothers you. It's not on your property. It's not affecting you except that you can GASP! see it

It is an eyesore. Check the county code and call if it’s a violation. Sounds like it’s temporary and probably for a renovation.

If everyone felt like this, there would be no HOAs.

What if OP stood buck naked in his front room window?

What if OP hung a big banner on his house that said something with which you vehemently disagree?

What if OP painted his house neon green?

I expect you have limits. So does OP. Did you read that his neighbor is not using the dumpster for construction, but simply as a very large trash can?

How long would you be cool with that?

Just deal with it. It’s a month. He’s clearly doing renovations. Maybe you’ll need something from him one day.

Even Brambleton has public not private streets... (there might be some townhome/condo sections that have private streets, but most of the single families are on public streets). so Loudoun County not the HOA controls parking on the streets. You need to be in Belmont Country Club (or somewhere else where the HOA actually OWNS the streets) to see tighter restrictions over these sorts of parking issues.

Yep, came here to say this. That’s how we roll in our neighborhood

No one’s every heard of that city, let alone does anyone who lives there commute to DC. Only reason I know if it is because I own a 200 acre farm in Loudoun. Go back to farming kiddo.
