Tiny tennis skirts, tight pants with riding boots..the typical private school mom?

I saw her at the Starbucks in Potomac Village a couple of years ago and I thought she looked terrible. She had no makeup on and was completely disheveled looking.

Perhaps she was having a bad day. We all have those. Let's see what you look like when you are 58.

OP if you are sincere, the way the moms are dressed doesn't necessarily tell you anything more about them other than they spend alot on clothes. I was in the Starubucks at Potomac and saw a mom today (who did have blond hair) wearing white riding pants and brown boots. She looked very nice but this is simply a fashionable outfit and not a real riding outfit (real riding boots have thicker leather, heavier heels and no one wears lighter weight white riding pants to actually ride). She may or may not have even been on a horse before and she certainly was not on her way to the stable or coming from one. She may work and may have had the day off or she may SAHM.

It's nice to find some kind people on these posts. Why do some women have to always attack other women? It's so mean-spirited. Of course Lynda Carter is beautiful...I'd like to see what the woman who mocked her looks like.

So people wear clothes to appear like they've been out riding horses or just because it's a fashionable outfit, sort of like a cashmere sweater? I would have never in a million years known it's not a real riding outfit. I thought they truly ride horses so frequently that maybe they just wear clothes like that someimes....sort of like people who work out are sometimes seen in workout clothes at the store.

But I'd really like honest answers here. I don't dress particularly well. My clothes do not look expensive but they are always clean. What will people who wear clothes like this and do spend lots of money on their clothes think of people like me? We drive a toyota and I wear jeans, cotton t-shirts, and loafers. Not sure how or even if I should bother approaching these moms at DC's school.

I admit I like clothes. But I NEVER think about what other people where. Moms in jeans and tshirts great, moms in work out clothes great. The only time I might think about it is if someone is in a suit (tells me she works), which I only say as a "oh wonder what she does" kind of thing. Or if someone dresses really interestingly, I might admire it. I suppose if someone dressed inappropriately (revealing) I might take notice, but otherwise, as someone who does like clothes, I like all types of moms. No one you would want to be friends with would think anything of your tshirt, toyaota, and jeans
